I don't think scottish injuries will affect that much the performance, my only question is only if Scotland will be able to score a few tries, since I'm convinced, and I hope, Haimona or Allan will not repeat the terrible kicking performance of Twicknham

Quite a damming stat of Italy -

Of their last 19 games since the end of the 2013 Six Nations – where they signed off with a memorable victory over ireland – the Italians have beaten only Samoa and Fiji. During that period, they have also lost to Samoa as well as Japan

Aqualung, welcome to the house of fun. I wouldn't worry too much about Haimona's kicking, but rather be very concerned about the number of tackles he has missed in the first two games. I'm fairly certain Scotland will be looking to attack the 10-12 channel. Possibly bringing Schlong in at first receiver to blast a hole.
On the other hand, Parisse has made a huge amount of carries and could well be up against Beattie who is so far out of form he could very well be offered a contract for Embra.

I think our eastern brethren should pause to remember the old kiwi maxim that a good team gets better by remembering their defeats and vowing never to feel that way again, while a poor team spends its time cherishing the memory of that rare victory.
Last season the match uppermost in the Glasgow mindset was the semi-final defeat of the previous season, which goes a long way to explaining their stellar performance against Munster in the (winning) semi.

In the backs I really rate Morisi - just a pity Campangaro is injured - and Venditti is a handy player too. Mclean should help bring a bit of composure too.

pack is fine, Castro out is not too bad, he's really downhill now. Some good players in that Italy side, and interesting to see Favaro playing against us given his impending move to the 1872 losers.

In the backs Gori, Venditti, Morisi and MacLean are all dangerous, although I'm pleased we don't have to face Campagnaro or Benevenutti instead of Bacchin (no idea) and Visentin.

You've got to love world governing bodies. They have issued clarification on the time incident against Wales:

- The laws say that the game should have been restarted
- However, they back the decision made by the referee..... Headscratch

World Rugby backs the decision made by match officials at the end of the Scotland v Wales RBS Six Nations match at Murrayfield on 15 February where this issue arose. This clarification is a new interpretation that will provide certainty for any future issues of this nature.

I suspect the last sentence is the key bit - they messed up in the last game, but because the laws have been clarified for the future it means that the decision made in the Wales game was correct... picard

If the law needs to be changed then so be it, but to complain when the decision is right on the day is a little bit silly (IMO)

I think we can see where tactics will be heading in future. Big punt , chasers who leap into the air with gay abandon = penalties and sending offs. How to make rugby appealing to the masses er maybe not then.

I think we need to move on - the laws are obviously the issue, and there's nothing the appeal committee could have some about that

BUT this is no different than it has been for several years - and for several years the decision would have been the same (In fact often a red would have been given) - so I am not sure why it suddenly becomes such a huge issue all of a sudden

When I was 16, I had major facial surgery that resulted in my giving up solid food for six months, with a diet consisting entirely of Petit Filou yoghurt, smoothies, meat blitzed into a fine paste, and copious amounts of codeine.

This Finn Russell decision is worse. It is the biggest travesty of justice since the murder of Steve Biko. I'm off to write some protest songs. Thank Christ that a lot of things rhyme with 'Finn'.

P.s. I'm leaning towards Horne at 10, even if it totally reams Glasgow against Munster.
