Ok we have reach the final week of the Six Nations and this competition. GloriousEmpire has a 35 point lead over Norfolklass going into next weekend's game with GunsGerms a further four points back in third. Next week's games are listed below. Mainly cricket, yes.

Perhaps only cricket.

I'm not really superstitious though. It's always mentioned by broadcasters though - so even if you're not thinking of it - you'll be reminded by them. There's nothing you can do about it really.

I think I over-estimate points scored. I've gone for a few big wins next week but I guess there's always the danger of at least one or perhaps even 2 games being low scores.

As an Aussie - I simply add up number of tries, conversions, no. penalty kicks assuming it's a fast, hard track on a clear day and that the players have that type of game in mind to play expansively and the kicker gets about 3 to 6 kicks or whatever. I don't take into account the weather or pitch conditions because I can't really follow it in detail. Its easy to get caught out in the cold tipping like that!

there are lots of storms and floods in Ireland at the minute. Hopefully by Saturday they will be gone.

Hope it's not too severe. Thanks for the update.

If it were some club match played in slippery wet conditions... I can see my "formula" doesn't work and I'd throw it out the window in that scenario.

I then revert to the + or - 1,2,3,4,5,... points difference method - when you have that feeling it's going to be a close one by not many points.

For 6N though, I upgrade the scoring potential for all teams mostly and add more points scored... except for certain games. (which shall not be named)
