Denzil Washington will be taking over the role of ex intelligence officer turned free to hire problem solver Robert McCall

Anyone else slightly worried about this or are you looking forward to it ?

Oh dear. Whilst Denzel is a great actor, this just sounds terrible.

It smacks of the "me too" genre.

Let's take a classic 70s/80s tv show and remake it as a film! Starsky & Hutch remade as a (really poor) comedy? Check.

The Dukes of Hazzard with Burt Reynolds, a brainless blonde, Stifler & that bloke from Jackass. Ruined it for just about everybody.

The Sweeney? Ray Winstone nutting everyone and pairing him with a high-profile British singer/rapper. So cool. Surely nothing could go wrong? Everything did - it was shockingly bad.

Where is the originality these days?
