Audley Harrison won a poor mans world belt I believe.

Tough to think of one that was worse Truss off the top of the head. We had some guff in the early days of the WBO when only we seemed to take it seriously. Guys like Bentt and Jones were pretty ordinary. However if we disregard these guys is tricky to think of many guys who have held half way proper belts that are worse.

What were glenn Catley and Chris Pyatt like..

Brian Magee must be up there. He only spent 2 rounds with the WBA belt that Froch now holds.

Dennis Andries probably was the most talentless..........three time champ rules him out though.

I think you can throw half the sky team in together, mccrory, woodhall, nelson.

Catley is a good call... He lost to woodhall. Pyatt was limited but there have been worse truss.

We've had some stellar heavies... Akinwande... How about bentt v hide... In an all Brit showdown.

If ever you wanted a prime example of a stand up European boxer, Richie was your man. I'm being a little harsh including him, there have been worse.

He did think he won all his fights by shut out though... Including the ones he was knocked out in.

Quigg won the belt before getting in the ring and retained his "world title" with a draw.....hmmmmm....

He has never fought as a world champion though. Its a shambles that whole situation really.

Yea Quigg brought his world title into his local pub, the first "regular" to do so apparently

Lewis didn't "win" the world title...........Or Kenny Norton........

Cleverly has to be mentioned too.

McDonnell and Quigg have unquestionable talent no matter how they acquired their best and in the case of the former were stripped without defending it. Somebody like McCrory was just average and has no decent wins of note, Andries is the biggest over achiever of the lot but he was as tough as they came and did have wins over many respected boxers. Harding, Czyz, Williamson and Sibson were all good wins at the time.

Ricky Burns is probably the worst I've seen. He can barely throw a proper punch. A lot of heart but thats about it

Alex Arthur or Nicky Cook have to be up there.

Also as much as I like him Gavin Rees has barely ever been upper Euro never mind World level.

In fairness, Ricky looked quality against Katsidis (who most people thought would knock him out) and Mitchell in particular. It's only in his last couple of fights he appear to have regressed a few years.

Aye, can't agree with the Burns shout, either. They're not elite level wins, sure, but his victories over Martinez, Katsidis and Moses are all notable, at least. I still think that Burns could possibly unify the WBO and IBF belts against Vazquez if that fight ever gets made. But whatever the weather, he shouldn't even be in the discussion here, for me.

Think you're definitely a bit closer to the mark with Nicky Cook though, alanqlm!

McCrory, Akinwande, Barry Jones etc are the names which come to mind, for me.

Didn't Bernard Dunne claim to be a world champion when he won an interim belt.....lasted a little longer than Brian Magee though.....3 minutes more in fact!

I was a bit concerned super... Left it a couple of years before being brave enough to say it... But you never know, he might be browsing as a guest. I won't be sleeping easy that's for sure.

I utterly refuse to acknowledge Quigg as a Champion, likewise anyone superseded by a Super, Diamond or otherwise.

I find Quigg so uneasy to watch. He should never be in front if a camera.

Does anyone else also find the tactics but of the show a load of Love sacks?
