Team Keith Alexander - Task 3

We are the standard setters on what makes a good Azzrentice task. We will provide Azzy with an idea of the quality that could have been produced and he will be able to judge the two real submissions based on how far they are below us.......

Over the remaining weeks I will be laying on a series of football-related tasks, all of which are designed to test your football knowledge, historical understanding, and creativity.
Which brings me on to the third task. Racism is once again on the agenda, with veterans such as Sol Campbell and Paul Canoville speaking out against prejudice within the game against black players and managers.
What I want you to do is to provide me with what you think would be the greatest side made up entirely of black players. This is not to segregate them, but instead is your chance to highlight some fantastic legends of the game and their contributions to it.
The team with the best XI and explanation of why they chose those particular players will win, and from the losing team, one of you will be fired.
The deadline for your submissions is Monday 7 October at 1100. Good luck.

I think a brain dump of the best black players in each position is the best way forward.
Get as comprehensive a list as possible to minimise the risk of missing someone glaringly obvious.
From there, eliminate those who obviously won't make the grade to leave us with a shortlist in each position.
From there we can whittle it down to come up with a team and formation of the very best players.
I think selection criteria has to be ability based as we are creating the greatest XI

Goalkeepers is tough. There's not any real outstanding candidates is there...
