Chisora to face Fury in July. Really? Empty Chisora to face Fury in July. Really?

This is being reported on the BBC web site. I can't see Fury going for this. He beat him once and Chisora is coming back off 3 loses in the last 4 fights. What really would be the point of any such fight and how would such a fight help Fury with his ambition to fight Wlad?

It is all rhetoric at the moment. Wish fulfillment fron Chisora and Warren. A pointless fight in my opinion if they ever pulled it off.

If the Chisora that faced Vitali turns up, I expect it to be a hard night for Fury.

Pointless fight against a chubby good-for-nothing who's put in 2 decent performances in his career and still lost both times. Absolutely meaningless.

Which would mean that Fury would be risking a lucrative fight by taking on a "dangerous" opponent who he has already beaten. No point in this surely?

This is more a case of Wilder pulling out of the Chisora fight and FW frantically trying to find a replacement by throwing loads of names out there and seeing what sticks. Charr and Fres Oquendo have also been approached.

Fury makes anyone he faces look dangerous due to him being shizenhauser himself.

I'm not saying its a good fight. Its terrible and boring.

Chisora has a genuine shot at beating him if he turns up in genuine shape, he was rocking Fury all about the place until he gassed due to the woeful shape he turned up in, if he came in good shape where he could keep the action sustained for 12 rounds it wouldn't shock me if he beat Fury. How would it be a meaningless fight?

Have to agree with you Alex. If Chisora did turn up in shape and motivated then he would stand a good chance. However for Fury it is a big risk low reward fight, one which he doesn't need.

Meaningless for Fury, surely? He either beats someone who he has beaten previously or loses and everyone will say his career is ended. No win situation here for Fury.

What a potentially dangerous fight for Fury to take

What does he get from beating Chis, nothing. He's done it before easily and Chis was sparked out by Haye, so not only does he need to beat him as comfortably as he did the first time but he also needs to do it as impressively as Haye did

What's more Chis almost stopped him in their first fight when he was 20+lbs heavier than he was against Helenius, Vitali and Haye. A fully fit Chis could stop him
