Apparently he's going to make a big announcement regarding his future tomorrow. With his fight against Holt scheduled for just over a month away there has been little promotion or ticket news

They're both run of the mill. Certainly a better fight than the Judah fight if this happens. Let Judah fight Holt on the undercard. The winner fights for the interim WBC Silver belt.

Imagine Holt will take a backhander to delay.....

Following on from the discussion about mandatories deserving title shots, does Peterson deserve a shot at Garcia's belts after not fighting for 12 months and having been caught using drugs?

Yes technically because hes putting his own title on the line. In reality they should remove his testicles and inject testosterone pellets instead.

So the big announcement was that he has signed with Goldenboy Promotions. A Khan rematch on the horizon maybe?

GoldenBoy have really tied up most of the fighters between 135-147 and its hard to see who someone like Rios can fight at lightwelter

I thin that this may force Arums hand to work wit GoldenBoy

yup, bradleys careers screwed

I pray for you to be right WHU, Bradley and Rios are wanting fights and for Arum the banging on the door is getting louder and louder.

Rios said that he wanted a big fight with Matthysse, Arum gave him Alvarado (Which is still a great fight) but not quite Matthysse.

Bradley is seriously struggling to get an opponent at the moment and he is sort of in the who needs him club at the moment. Doesn't really have a great fanbase and is a genuinely very hard nights work for everyone who's name isn't Floyd.

I think it may just make Arum cut a couple of deals with GBP out of pure desperation and asking them to get a couple of fights on and eventually mean that we could start getting a few more TR and GBP fights on in the future, this is pure optimism however...

It sounds as though GBP aren't too fussed about working with TR but TR are point blank refusing to work with GBP, it really hurts boxing. I wonder what would happen if HBO and Showtime just both turned around to him and said, "Look, either you put your fighters in against some genuine fighters at the weight regardless of what promoter they are with or we're cutting you out of the big leagues, we don't need boxing anyway, you're just a niche sport to us" If they said that and played hardball with him then it would be great to see how Arum would react.
