Steamboat won one of the best matches of all time with a small package.....
Hogan tried to slam andre on the concrete floor .... by ripping up the matting...i really miss this as it added a "is he really gonna do this"
Commentators leaving their post to pursue women lol
and the attendance ....

The attendance was exaggerated. It was actually nearer 78,000, which, while impressive, is the same as Wrestlemania 28 in April of this year.

So that, almost literally, is something that does happen in today's WWE.

Technically yes, but WWE persists with a fabricated story of 90+ thousand at 'Mania 3 so they can claim some sort of record.

I believe the actual attendance at WM3 was closer to 73k while the old wembley was a sell out and held close to 80k, I may need to check my figures on that but I hope you get the point.

Wasn't Wrestlemania 2 technically the largest because it was held across 3 venues?

Nah not even close, I'm not sure what the official attendance was but I think I remember someone saying 38/39k combined, the Rosemont and the LA Memorial weren't big arenas, well they where but in those days 12k+ was considered a major gate, so they where big in that sense
