Find this a little strange myself as Banks is fighting Seth Mitchell soon and beating him could well put him right in the mix for a shot at a Klitschko title. I get that he was hands on in training and Manny Stewards right hand man which could prove to be a smooth transition in some ways but being trained by a potential contender for your titles seems like an odd decision on both parts.

Any agreement made between the two do you think? i.e Banks won't fight for the title while Klitschko is there or Klitschko promises him the next shot if he beats Mitchell or another highly rated heavyweight?

What are peoples throughts?

I don't think he can promise him the next shot if he beats mitchell because then who will train klitschko for the banks fight?

Pretty sure that they wont fight each other and Klitschko will retire in 2/3 years time anyway as he is 36/37

There's no chance he'll end up beating Banks, (That could be thrown back at me soon!!)

In a way I see what you mean, an active HW thats in a position to get a shot at the man he's training is a bit of a mindwobbler.

Think that it should be a good fit, however, I would assume they will just keep doing the same old things as usual. The one thing that I said before is, can Banks get Klitschko to make the necessary changes when things start going wrong like Steward would have been able to? There is a chance he will never have to, but it is worth thinking about.

Maybe klitschko will become a more aggressive fighter and take more risks. Unlikely but a new trainer may make that happen.

It is possible, but I think that Wladimir is almost "Stuck in his ways" in regards to what works for him, so I think it's quite unlikely he will all of a sudden become more aggressive, especially considering that is what made him get sparked a few times earlier in his career.

i dont know about banks but wlad seems the sort of fellow who could easily cope with training will a future contender, i dont think he's got the attitude of having to hate the competition like haye or some other fighters.
