TEAM TALK
We beat Viva two weeks ago and feel we can do that again with a strong performance today. We will go for goals with an attacking 4-4-2 line up. Generally we want to make sure we dominate on the counter attack and be putting out chances away. We also want to attack with pace down the wings and get balls into the box.


DEFENDING
Huntelaar will be their lead striker and it is essential we keep him quiet. We will have a deep line due to his pace. Rami is strong and should look to shove Huntelaar around. Anyukov in particular should drive forward, looking to get crosses into the box. Ekotto should be more defensively minded and should make sure he focuses on dealing with Valencia who is a good crosser on the ball, however is very one footed. If we can constantly force him to use his weaker foot then he won't be able to get the balls in. They are missing Mata in midfield this week which is a huge bonus but Carrick and Gustavo need to work together to deal with their other midfielders, particularly Pirlo. Carrick should be the more creative player, looking to find a long pass, while Gustavo should look to be the destroyer. Our midfield should all make sure we work together to put pressure on Pirlo, who will kill us if he doesn't quickly have pressure on him. Niang should drop slightly deeper so if Pirlo does drop deep then he can stop him.


ATTACKING
Lennon and Rodriguez should look to burst down the wings, beating their winger and getting crosses into the box. Eto'o and Niang are both capable of scoring goals and should take it in turns to drop deep and get on the last man, making themselves difficult to deal with. One of them should get between the centre backs, looking to draw fouls. Niang could look to make a run across the back four to create space, particularly if they go for man-marking. Carrick and Gustavo should generally sit deep but one can get forward and support the front men. Jones may play in the centre of defense and if he does then look to catch him out of position as he often likes to burst forward. When we have the ball we should be quick to attack using our pace in the front four.

A great start to the season and now we are onto the cup. This is the opportunity for you to prove to me you should be in my starting XI every week. I want 100%, I want you first to every ball. Keep the ball moving and attack with pace. Defend as a unit from the front, and pressurise straight away.

Speroni Stand tall, come for crosses, and sweep up anything that is played in behind the defence. Distribute short as much as possible.

Clyne & Gibbs You are part of a unit, so keep your shape and defend together. Pick up any wide players , keep tight and do not let them run at you. Stay back and always make sure you know where your man is.

Toure & Mbia – Mbia- mark the main striker. Use your strength to stay tight, not let him turn and don’t give him an inch of space. Jags – spare man sweeping up, attacking any high balls into the box, getting there first. If they play a second striker, you pick him up. Both - Keep the ball and pass it short to the midfield, provide an option for a pass when in space.

Medel The enforcer, you will break up opposition attacks, protecting the back four. Get in the faces of the opposition, don’t give them any time on the ball

Ledesma – you are the fulcrum of the team, dictating play and keeping us ticking. Pick up the ball from the defensive players in deeper positions. Use the ball wisely feeding the attack. Don’t waste possession.

Marin & Deulofeu – You will play as widemen. Get on the ball, run at the defence, using all the tricks in your bag. Get the ball into the box for Jelavic and the midfield arriving late. When the ball is on the other flank go central to support the attack. Defensively, pressurise the ball as soon as we lose it and help the full back tracking the opposition wide players.

Maher – you are the playmaker. Get on the ball and dictate play. Feed Jelavic and the widemen and get them all in the game. Defensively, pressurise the ball as soon as we lose it.

Jelavic –Operate in the width of the 18 yard box. When the ball comes forward centrally, hold it up allowing the wingers and AM to get in support. When the ball is out wide, get into the box to get on the end of anything coming in. A sniff of a chance, have a go first time. Defensively, when we lose possession, harass the defenders in possession and force them to play it quickly.

Tactics:
Goalkeeper: Be commanding, vocal and distribute via the full backs. Just do what you do Hugo.
Defence: Young back four for us today, but I want us to be rigid and because we have pace in the back four, keep a high line and therefore the high pressure game. Visaljko and Willems, bomb forward when you can, they don't have much to trouble us on the wings. Caulker man mark with Papa covering if one up top, if two up top both pick up.
Central Midfield: Sissoko today you will be the more defensive of the two, get around and gnarl. Clip the ankles, stand on there toes, break up the play, be a general in there. Sigurdsson while it is also paramount you get back, you are going to pull the strings from deep today, be creative, let the rhythm flow through your body.
Attacking Midfielders: You three are our attacking force. Hernandez and Snodgrass interchange throughout the match, terrorise your full backs and get crosses in. Kaka you are going to make and score the goals today. Terrorise there defence, play the through balls, link up with Sigs and the wingers. Cause them havoc.
Striker: Adebayor, I want you to put the ball in the back of the net. Look for the through ball from Kaka, the crosses from the wingers, but even if you only have one chance today, I want you to score it. Clinical is the word Ade.

Team Talk: We have a much stronger side than the one that played Jacamos in the league. Unlike previous seasons, we want to go all out to win the cup. 4-2-3-1 is there usual formation of choice, so let us match them across the field and pick up the win.

Hart: England's number one, you had a much better game last week, and I want to continue this form. Most of the threat will be coming from midfield so instruct the defense, be vocal and alert for any breaks from AM's

Smalling/Kaboul: We will probably be against a dominant CF, so I want Kaboul to match them for strength and Smalling to sweep up the danger. Attacks will be coming from midfield, so stop the CF making knock on's. I want you to be wary of breaks, and Smalling should be watchful from whats likely to be a 3 man attacking midfield.

Leichsteiner/Baines: Munian and Shaqiri are likely to be playing on the wings, so I want you to match them for pace and plug the gaps. They will try and take you on so restrict the space and push them to the byline. They might try and get crosses in to the target man, so make yourself big and stop them coming in. On the plus side, Munian and Shaqiri are not known for their defensive capabilities or tracking back, so there will be gaps you can both exploit on the overlap.

Arteta/Diaby: You know these roles inside out. Both work in tandem to get possession. Arteta to be a playmaker and knock the ball forward to our forward three. Be an outlet if the way is blocked and help in keeping hold of the ball. Diaby to play a more aggressive role. Retrieve the ball and drive forward where no one will be tracking you. Be defensively wary of Jacamos forward players and snuff out any signs of trouble. You are both in fine form - continue it.

Sterling/Hazard/Ramirez: Our U22 players, full of pace and trickery. Sterling and Ramirez to attack the full backs and get the through balls in to Torres. Come inside if our FB's overlap and cause havoc. Hazard to play a free role that will maximize the damage you cause. With only 2 defensive midfielders that Jacamos are likely to field, we always have one player free and available. Hazard, go deeper if Diaby breaks forward, so he can look for that final pass into your feet so you can score. Interchange if needed and give their defense nightmares with your collective skill.

Torres: Jacamos CB's are not known for their pace, so sit on the last man's shoulders and wait for the through ball. Be active along the back four, bringing anyone that marks you away to create space for our attacking midfield 3.

If winning after 70mins: Tiote FOR Sterling. Lukaku FOR Torres. Play 4-5-1. Lukaku is our new U22 player with Sterling off. Hazard on right, Ramirez on left. Tiote to sit in the middle of midfield, break up the play and provide cover and strength. Lukaku to rough up the CB's and allow Hazard and Ramirez to come inside on the break, and shoot from range.

Team talk: Here we are in the cup, first group match against a team we beat very recently although they have improved since then I think. It'd be ideal to get 3 points from the start so we're going to stick to our roles, work for the team and play lovely football with an end product. 1, 2, 3 JACAMOS!

Buffon: Be big and strong, catching everything possible and only punching when necessary. Look to start off a counter attack by playing the ball out wide.

Defence: Possibly Torres up front for Real Ale so if he is, Piqué I'm trusting you to deal with him. Keep tight to him when he's near you and goalside of him. Keep him quiet and don't let him get away from you; beware his darting runs. Dante, look for any runs from midfield or any wingers that cut in, especially Hazard who I suspect will be lurking somewhere on the pitch. Everyone else in the defence: Deal with Hazard by kicking him out of the game like we did last time. Ogbonna: Not expecting you to go forward, just sit tight and force the winger into the DM's. Lahm, get forward and support Muniain but get back to defend too.

Midfield: We dominated their midfield last time, we can do it again. Pretty much the same plan as last time with Alonso and Fellaini chasing the ball, breaking up play and distributing it forward. Fellaini, get the ball and charge forward with it, exchanging passes with De Jong and the wingers. You are in a box-to-box role whereas Alonso is sitting in midfield. Alonso (or anyone else), look to play long ball up to Fellaini who will chest it down, control it and pass it or charge with it. Wingers: Zig and zag, use trickery and pace to beat your FB's and cross into Lewandowski/Negredo, or come inside and run at the CB's. Swap wings if you want to; you can both play either side.

Forwards: Lewandowski is the main man up front who will make his presence felt in the first half by getting in amonst the CB's and making them aware of his darting runs. Luuk, look to attack from AM and support Lewandowski when we attack but drop into midfield when we defend. Make darting runs through the opposition midfield and sit "in the hole", ready to latch on to any loose balls (ha ha). At half time, Negredo will come on to provide a different, more physical threat. Get the ball into him and he will create chances.

Ochoa: Calm and collected in goal. Come for what you can catch, sweep up balls over the top and communicate.

Caceres: Their LW is a real threat so I picked you as the more defensive RB. I want you to stick with him and deny him the chance to cut inside.

Nagatomo: More attacking than Caceres, but not abandoning defence. Stand your man up and don't give him an easy option except for going backwards. Provide width and support the winger.

Sakho/Ranocchia: Sakho to man mark their striker, and Ranocchia to sweep up alongside and be vigilant for runners. If they attack aerially, be strong in the challenge when you go for the ball.

Gonalons: Protect the back four, make interceptions and track runners into the box. Set the play up with passes and always be available to reset our attacks.

Thiago: Look to spread the play to the wingers to make the most of our attacking talents. Where there isn't an obvious pass, don't be afraid to spray a ball forwards towards Carroll to provide a knock down. Be accurate with your passing and play 'quarterback' for us.

Ramires/El Sharaawy: Get chalk on your boots, as an old manager might say, and provide width. Stretch the field with runs where possible and out CMs will seek to get the ball to you. Take men on and supply the ammo for Carroll in the middle. If you find there is space inside, feel free to drift in and try to create but your main locale should be on the wing facing the full backs.

Borini: I want you close to Carroll today, and to be feeding off what he gives you. The ball will be knocked down, and flicked on, so stay near him and be prepared to take a chance and get beyond him. Be clinical and greedy when you get the ball.

Carroll: We all know what you're about and why you're in the team. Stay advance and get physical with the centre halves and get your head on everything. You aren't just archaic, so with the ball at your feet assess your options and retain it. Borini will be close to you, so try and read where he is going and get the ball to him.

Team Talk: We're taking the cup very seriously this year, afterall what is the point of entering a competition if you don't try and win it?! LSN are the defending champions but we have the players to hurt them. Our wingers will be key as the LSN fullbacks aren't the strongest. We'll try and dominate the center of the park as well.

Patrício: Dominate your box, watch for whatever Carroll (their CF) is doing

Monreal/Debuchy: Watch their wingers and make sure that you stay back. Be calm and stay on your feet, force their wingers out wide.

Nastasic/Terry: Terry to command whilst the quicker Nastasic sweeps behind him. I'd imagine it'll be Carroll and a cam/second striker. If so Terry to pick up Carroll.

Capoue: Force their cam out of the game, be big and strong and make sure that they have to play around you. Carry on from your awesome performance for France this week.

Cabaye/Verratti: Both of you are great at getting the team moving forward. Cabaye to pull the strings whilst Verratti has more of a license to roam. Both of you have a great shot on you so if you get a chance to have a pop do.

Schürrle/Yarmolenko: Torment their fullbacks and don't let them settle. Alternate between going outside and driving inwards. When you drive inside link up with Welbeck and pass around their center backs.

Welbeck: I want you to drop deep to drag their center back, that will charged with marking you, out of position. This shold allow you to link up with Schürrle and Yarmolenko who will be looking to surge into the spaces you provide them with.

Continuing this week with the 4-2-3-1 set up and using the wingers movement, accelaration and close control against a defence that whilst solid, is not noted for its speed. Looking to play the ball out of defence on the ground to Xavi to dicate play.

De Gea: Communicate with the back four, instruct them on set pieces. Make yourself big on one on ones and claim crosses. Look to throw the ball out to our FBs to commence attacks.

Isla & Richards: Time tackles, look to meet the player as they're receiving the ball to combat their acceleration. If they're received it early stay on your feet and shepherd them into the corners as they'll be looking to hit through balls inside to the striker. Link up play with our wingers and double up where possible.

Coates & Hummels: If AC ALSOAM have just one striker up front then Hummels is to use his awareness to keep close to him whenever he makes his way into a threatening position, allow him to go deeper but ensure he's quickly closed down immediately once within reasonable shooting distance. Coates is to pick up any winger coming inside or runs from midfield. Look to move the ball forward on the ground to Xavi.

Toure: Enforce the midfield and nullify any threats that ALSOAM possess by quickly breaking down play, harrass Schwein and force him to play backwards. If the FBs come forward then ensure the gaps are protected.

Xavi: Be prepared for a close watch but remain calm dictating the flow of the game. Look ahead for Cazorla breaking forward and the wingers beating their markers down the wing.

Cazorla, Giovinco and Moura: All three are comfortable in any of the LW/AM/RW roles so looking to interchange them throughout the game and be aware where to probe through the back line of the stationary AC ALSOAM defence. When possible look to come inside and target the gaps left by Higuain's movement. Drop into the box when the other winger has the ball to provide extra threat for loose balls. Drop deeper to swamp midfield when in periods of pressure.

Higuain: Expect Kompany to be man marking so drag him about and force him to follow to create the space for Cazorla or a winger to exploit. Start in offside positions and bend your runs so it makes it difficult for the marker to pick you up.
