Aye it is. Not good to relive the same heartache.
I did like Andrew Castles comment at the end.
"he has broken British and Scottish hearts"
Seems he is in favour of Scotland going independent

As are many Englishmen. Alex Salmond being there was a typically populist gesture by the man.
A man driven by nothing more than absolute Braveheart patriotism...

... and I suppose that David Cameron's presence in the Royal Box was driven by a love of tennis rather than a populist gesture!

This is getting to be more and more true. Perhaps we should have a referendum on whether to allow Scotland to remain in the Union?

I wouldn't put it like that Josiah - however I don't see why the Union as a whole doesn't have a say on the composition of the Union. It seems undemocratic.

If Holyrood had any other decent politicians Scotland independence would remain a pipe dream rather than the ever growing monster of reality it has become. The Scots are being hoodwinked by this charlatan.

We're not going to have a political discussion on the tennis forum are we?
(No, we're not - but there is a General Discussion forum )

Interest comments in response to LK's lighthearted statement from people who at the weekend were lecturing on how 'Nationalism in sport is deplorable and repellent'. Politics and sport don't mix lets leave it that way.

Hey I wasn't lecturing! Sorry you saw it that way.
And yes perhaps this isn't the place for a discussion of Scottish independence (which is desired by 30% of Scots at last count).

My beef is really with the BBC and UK media who stoop to ever lower levels every time Wimby rolls around.
