It's a non title fight, with two fighters coming off 4 losses in total, shouldn't command 12 rounds.

Haye doesn't need help, it's a gimme for him, a plodding fighter with no punch means no chance to me, if I was millionaire , I'd bank a million on Haye at 1/3 it's printing money to me. However back to reality and i can't justify putting my fiver on.

Can't some phony body just grant them some nothing title to make it 12? Titles are already as meaningless as they're going to get, may as well give the fans a championship distance fight.

It's for the IC title - if I recall they are 10 rounds? But then Fury Maddalone was for an IC belt, and it was 12......

In reality, it won't go past 6 rounds. Haye would have KO Chisora by then.

No undercard, overpriced tickets, subscription fight and now a ten rounder. These hyped up grudge matches are really saving boxing!

10 Rounds is pretty bad, i understand it happens in America but wasn't expecting it considering they are both coming off loses to the Klitschko's. I actually think it favours Chisora but he will need to survive Haye's early power.

Im not sure I think the those two extra rounds are significant. I didnt favour an early stoppage in this although I could see Chisora maybe being decked early on but having the chin to continue.

According to Steve Lillis the switch to ten rounds was suggested by Haye, according to rumours he heard. Shouldnt have been left this late to decide though in any case.

I would say it would be Haye Manos, Chisora has a decent work rate over 12 rounds when fully fit.

Yeah I thought the same, although I could also see reasons why 10 rounds would suit Chisora - i.e outwork Haye in the early rounds and then try to take the decision. It would rob Haye of two rounds to try and force a stoppage if he was behind on points.

The thing that I was considering was that given this is Warrens show, why woud he give in to a demand from Haye if he felt his own man was losing an advantage? Hes also likely to incur the wrath of fans who have paid for tickets or ordered subscriptions on top. It doesnt really do anything for the show, especially with tickets still up for sale and people still contemplating last minute subscriptions.

Surprising decision, but then the whole event is aimed at Sun readers, whose attention spans probably wouldn't stretch to 12 rounds.

It's not for any of the 101 championships out there so I would have expected it to be a ten rounder. I cannot understand the surprise on here. Last night, before this was posted, I posted on the Ozzy league thread the question on whether it was really 12 rounds or not. Now I'm nowhere near as hard core as most people on here, but don't see how it could be anything more than 10 rounds.

The WBA & WBO IC belts are on the line, although isn't the WBO IC the one that Fury won last week?

If they had made it a 10 rounder and announced it from the start it might be different but I think most people expected a 12 rounder. Even the bookies odds were scheduled over 12 rounds.
