Only just surpassed by De Gea as most expensive goalkeeper bought by a British club. Didn't get a 2nd contract.

Back to Scotland?

Meh it's a bit of a shame really, got some of the worse injury luck imaginable especially for a goalkeeper, multiple broken arms, torn ligaments, you name it he got it in the five years there. Possibly Celtic if they don't keep hold of Forrester might go for him, i still have no doubt he can cut it at the top but he need's a few clean seasons with no injuries.

Mignolet was better, what a waste of money!

Feel sorry for Gordon, without a doubt the best goalkeeper I've seen in the flesh, his injury luck hasn't helped him, hopefully he can reistablish himself

I thought Paddy Kenny had a decent season.

Obviously a talented keeper, just had his time at Sunderland ruined by injuries and as they have Mignolet and Westwood they don't need to keep him around. Will be interesting to see if any other Premier League teams feel he's worth the risk or if his injuries will put them all off.

From what I heard Mark Hughes isnt a fan and think the City match showed how flawed he is a team who want to grow need better

I think he's still only 28 so as a goalkeeper he could still have ten years left, at his best good enough for any club. I think a move abroad would do him some good.

Apparently Celtic are after him, with Foster going back to Newcastle. A good keeper who has been held back due to injuries and Minoglet good form.

If he can get back to full match fitness and sharpness he will be a great asset for whoever signs him. For that to happen though he needs to sign for a club where he is guaranteed to get games and not be seen as a back up keeper. If Forster doesn't stay at Celtic that would appear to be a good option.

staying injury free is just as much as being a keeper as shot stopping or distribution. i rated kirkand as well but if you cant stay fit then your not a very useful goal keeper
