Novak is really getting into Murray's second serve

Murray will start to play on the front foot half way through the 2nd set, by then it will be too late

Murray's groundstrokes not reliable enough and he can't do any damage.

Whatever BB, did you see that backhand winner off the first ball by Novak and an Ace on set point.

Murray not even varying is game like he used to, no slices, dropshots or volley so far, did he hit a winner at all in this 1st set??

oh dear well, here's hoping the 2nd set is more even... not likely but there's always hope

1 - Murray is tensed and nervous, lack of confidence.
2 - He is simply not as talented as Djoko.

Djoko is too quick for that. Unless Murray starts to play deeper and faster it would be suicidal to play touch shots.

I really hope something can happen and Murray start competing in this set. So far Dokovic is not even sweating is shirt.....

Oddly Novak won 50 percent of the points on Andy's second and is crushing murray's first delivery losing just 43 percent of points on Andy's first. Returning the first serve better that is odd

It can at least unsettle his opponenent a bit, also slicing well on this surface can help much imo

And winning more points percentage on his own 2nd serve than first.

Tells you this is all about rallying, and a part of that being the lack of threat from the other side.

I'm amazed by his gameplan. Djokovic looked tired in that game, but then he looked dead about 3 times in the AO semi... He's like a spider in the bath, playing dead. NEVER assume he's out of energy!

The way it's going, Murray is merely delaying the inevitable.

It looks disgustingly hot out there. Feel sorry for the players.

I'd explain them as very bad day at the office and move on. Murray has played naff today yet we have the usual 'experts' on here trying to display it as a norm or something. Full credit to Novak who is doing the business so far.
