We are welcoming Saracens to Edgeley Park, putting out a strong team that is ideal for the conditions. We have a strong front five, who will dominate the set piece and with a set of backs who are ideal for these conditions.
-Kubriashvili will target Gill at scrum time and will get the upper hand.
-Fourie is an out and out breakdown specialist and will completely control this area. Ensuring we win many turnovers.
- Sarries are without their normal lineout leader in Borthwick. They do not have a suitable replacement to run the lineout, with Kruis being far too inexperienced and none of their backrow being out and out lineout players. This means we will get a big advanatge here, where....
- Wilkinson and Peel will look to play territory. Playing the game in the right areas is crucial.
- Jonny Leota and Sam Tuitipou both heavily involved in the 6 try dmolition of wasps in real life, will look to target the Saracens centres. Powell cannot play 12, he is an out and out 13, and Joel Tomkins is not used to rugby union defending yet. This will mean their will be...
-Wilko will take all points that are on offer. If we are in their 22 and don't have momentum wilko will drop into the pocket and take the drop goal.
-Sheridan, Ostrikov, Powell and Auva'a are huge ball carriers and we will look to use them to punch holes in the Saracens defence.
-Our back 3 will look to run any loose kicks back, however if the running option is not on, we will look to kick it back, with Cueto, Miller and Amesbury all being good under the highball and good kickers we are perfectly suited to the conditions.
-With 2 experienced half backs and 2 big centres we beleive we are perfectly suited to playing in these conditions.

Tactics
We will work as units and play a structured game. We will play a kicking game and use the lineout as a weapon.
- Attack the lineout as much as we can using the tactical kicking of Parra, James and Goode. Use any of Joubert, Kruis, Saull, Brown and Vyvyan, and always attack Sale's throws.
- Call for scrums when we can if we are getting the advantage we expect to. Joubert to control from the base.
- Look to all of our forwards to give us real go-forward with their carrying.
- At the breakdown we will look to counter ruck when possible, we will look to make a real nuisance of ourselves at the breakdown and compete when possible.
- Parra and James are given license to play the game as they see it. We do ask that they use our carrying and lineout ability to put pressure on the opposition, but if they see an opportunity to attack out wide - that is their call.
- Our back three are encouraged to do what they do best - counter attacking and running the ball back. All have good boots to rely on if it isn't on or they are isolated, but the counter is what we ask them to look for.
- Early on Parra to kick all penalites within range, but we won't necessarily go for the 3 points as the game progresses. Joubert to make the call dependant on the success of the lineout.

Quins will play a high tempo game based around dynamic ball carriers and offloads whilst being solid in the setpiece and securing our own ball. Our pack will look to cause problems in the tight , grinding out the hard yards when needed and ruuning off Cips standing on the gain line. Chris Robshaw returns to lead the side and after a game and a bit over the last 2 weeks he'll be rareing to go alongside the battle harderned Nick Easter and Matt Kvesic will aim to cause problems on the deck.
* Cipriani to attack the gainline and really get our back line moving and running at Bath
* High tempo allowing Berry to tap and go and gain quick yards
* Elliot Daley to kick the leather off the ball and punish any Bath Penalties

Off the back of a convincing home win against Worcester, Bath welcome back their talismanic midfield maestro Frans Steyn. Frans brings top class experience and a wonderful skill set to the team, equally comfortable in attack and defence and a top class kicking game from the hand and the tee. Owen Franks starts from the off after a rest last week. We are putting out our strongest team and bulkiest pack, looking for an away win at the Stoop.

TACTICS
Target the front five and look to build a platform in the set piece. Away from home we want to play the basics, secure the scrum and give Classens and Donald quick clean ball. The axis of Classens, Donald and Steyn gives us plenty of kicking options, to ensure we play in the right areas. Use the experience of 9/10 to control the game and gain the upper hand, Steyn to kick penalties, to ensure we come away with points on each visit to the 22. If slow ball, use Steyn's drop goal as a weapon, using scoreboard pressure to disrupt Quins and unsettle the home crowd. With the lineout prowess of Muller, we can challenge and disrupt opposition ball.
BACKS
* In our 22 use Donald and Steyn to kick long, but find touch. Play sensible rugby in our half, mixing up the point of attack with Donald and Steyn interchanging and Steyn dropping in behind as a second playmaker, looking for gaps upfield
* Donald and Steyn to take the ball flat on the gainline, looking to test Cipriani's defence at every opportunity, using the crash ball to break the gainline and set up a ruck for quick ball
* Dagg encouraged to come into the line during attack and given a free rein, looking to track the shoulders of Steyn and Lualala when they make the half break
* Steyn to lead the rush defence, pressurising the half backs and looking for intercepts
* Cook to come on after 60 mins, his fresh legs and pace will be a threat around the fringes, keeping the opposition defence narrow. Banahan unleashed after 50 mins to test tired defence, he will relish running at the 10 channel.
FORWARDS
* Franks to put real pressure on Marler at scrum time, looking for penalty wins and a potential yellow card. Power of Muller and Attwood to challenge opposition ball, forcing back row and scrum half to work off scrappy ball
* Use a big physical front five full of ball carrying options of Franks, Attwood, Muller, Lund and Fearns to smash holes in the narrow channels. We look to earn the right to play wide.
* Louw is the breakdown man, he is the first to tackle area, looking to use his strength to stay on his feet and force turnovers and penalties. Without a specialist 7, we feel that Louw could have real success and be a nuisance
* Perenise and Catt to come on after 60 mins to freshen up the front row. Both are great in the loose and will add to the ball carrying options. Mercer comes on to replace Lund, to give us another link forward, very useful as the game opens up later on.

Tactics
- Use the set piece as a platform to build attacks. At scrum time, we have 5 big front row scrummagers at our disposal to compete. If it's not going our way, Halrinordoquy to pick and go to set it up.
- Similarly with the lineout, use jumpers Kennedy, Pocock and Gibson. Opt for full lineouts in their half to tie in their pack and go for off-the-top ball to get wide quickly.
- Target the breakdown for possible turnovers, with Pocock staying strong on his feet. When they arise, two quicks balls away and go. Backs, forwards, back yourselves.
- Be disciplined at the breakdown, with a guard and bodyguard at every breakdown to stop those easy yards around the fringes. No excuses here.
- Big runners off Geraghty to give us real go forward. Occasionally look for the inside ball off 9 or 10 to cut them apart. The space will come, and when it does, we go.
- Play to our strenths. Our pack can compete at the set piece but where we can really hurt sides is out wide. Look to get outside their guards and bodyguards to suck in more and more forwards at each breakdown, giving space out wide.
- Allinson to prawl behind the defense line and mop up any breaks or half breaks. Patrol the breakdown area and keep an eye up for numbers.
- Play rugby in their half. Allinson and Geraghty to put us in the right places and alow us to use our lineout weapon.
- Homer to go for points at every opportunity.We can have a pop from anywhere in their half. Make them scared to give away penalties in their half, thus giving us more time at the breakdown.

Tactics
In the damp conditions we’ll be looking to play a high tempo game and limit the offloading with the greasy ball. We’ll be looking for big carries from our pack to free up space around the fringes for out talented backline to work in.
We will look to set a tone in the set piece with our big scrummaging front 5 and will look for the squeeze from the off. Deacon will lead the line and we will look to target the opposition's throw with Newby/Kitchener marshalling the front/middle of the line. We'll use big carries from our pack to draw in the opposition defence with Youngs marshalling and looking for gaps to exploit around the fringes.
Wallace & Newby will target the breakdown with Youngs sniping around and playing flat to the line to allow Barnes & Manu space to run into. JOC will come looking for the ball in midfield and link up with Manu causing problems in the opposition midfield. We'll look to refresh pack around 60mins + and keep up the intensity.
- Look to get JOC onto the ball as much as possible, look to use to loop with Tuilagi
- Barnes to kick whats on offer and keep the board ticking over
- Get Care on in second half to give him some game time in Tigers jersey
- TARGET IRISH SCRUM – look to keep ball in on own ball and force penalty

This is a massive match and; after a big win last week we are on a high. It will be a clash of running backs and we will look to stop Barnes having any time on the ball. Lambie will look at running rugby and we will use Wood and JVN to lead the pack. We will look to play simple rugby in the backs with easy hands and exploiting the gaps when they come. We know Exeter are good at killing a match so will look for quick ball to prevent this and to take the points when possible.
Forwards
*Front row to look to get under their opposite numbers and get the edge up on Harden to release the back row.
*Look to target their lineout with Brown marshalling the troops here.
*Back rows all in excellent form wih JVN leading the way running off the backs and Savage and Qera looking to steal loose ball.
*Put pressure on Barnes to prevent him playing well and slowing down their ball.
*Use our bench wisely with Lawson, Hamilton and Narraway all excellent impact subs.
Backs
*Quick ball to Lambie when on the front foot, if not then look to pin them into the corners hitting touch.
*Centres to go route A straight through the defence looking for the offloads to the forward support or the back 3's who all have pace to burn.
*Wingers to run back any kicked ball looking for space and forwards to support them.
*EFS to lead an 'in your face' defence with a forward looking to steal/slow down ball at each breakdown.

Take all points - Mieres will take every penalty at goal, and look to take any drop goal opportunities to build a lead.
Defensive
Blitz Defence - We will look to blitz and stop the Gloucester carriers before they hit the gainline. Thomas will sweep in behind the line.
Breakdown - We will look to get our back row there quickly and contest for the ball if it's on to be won, but we will not overcommit, instead maintaining a sold defensive line to repel Gloucesters ball carriers.
Key Points
Form/Momentum/Confidence - We have won our last two and have momentum and confidence. Gloucester were hammered last week and have no momentum whatsoever.
Conditions - Conditions are not great for running rugby so we have picked a big powerful side to execute a simple but effective gameplan.
Freshness in the pack - We have freshened up our pack with 4 changes, ready for a battle. Gloucester have only changed their hooker from last weeks defeat so there must be some tiredness there.
Backs - We have selected powerful, defensively solid backs to execute a simple plan. Gloucester have selected lighter backs with only 2 in the same shirts as last week, meaning there will have to be some confusion amongst them if executing complex backs moves.

General Game Plan:
We want to play the game in the right areas and Myler will look to use his intelligent kicking game to put us there. When in Wasps territory we will use our strong carriers to attack gaps and half gaps in the Wasps line, looking to offload in contact to support runners thus changing the point of attack and keeping our forward momentum going.
On defence, we will use a blitz defence coming up at pace looking to isolate the Wasps ball carriers before they can get to the gain line stopping any momentum and allowing us to hit the breakdown harder. Roberts will act as a sweeper to cover any grubbers or chips behind the line while our back three will sit deep ready to cover any kicks down the touch lines and counter attack at pace.
With the blitz in operation we will look to be at the breakdown first hitting it fast and hard. The first two players on the scene will look to ruck past the ball and clear out the Wasps players providing quick counter attacking ball to be used against a disorganised defensive line. If the ball does not look available we will not commit to the ruck and look to strengthen the defensive line instead.
Key Points:
•We are unbeaten so far this season and have built some serious momentum. With a baying home crowd at the hostile Gardens looking to intimidate both Wasps and the ref, Wasps will need to be at their very best to win!
•We will contest every engagement! On our own feed we will look to get the wheel on and create extra room for our 8-9-10 axis to work in. On Wasps ball we will disrupt the put in looking for penalties or to create rushed poor ball for the Wasps halfbacks.
•We feel we have the power to cause the Wasps front row real problems and dominate here. We will look to go to the scrum at every opportunity with Read in his role as captain in the refs ear.
•With 5 jumpers and minimal challenge on our ball, we want to really use the lineout as an attacking platform like South Africa in recent years. We will use a full compliment and play the ball off the top allowing our halfbacks to get on the ball at pace with room outside.
•In the line on Wasps ball we will look for Kieran Read to mark Wentzel and cut out the main Wasps jumping option, leaving Day and the rest of our back 5 to try and poach the ball.
•We will test the Wasps wingers out, as they are both known to be caught on the turn. Myler will look to execute kick and chases and cross field kicks into the corners when he sees either out of position.
•In the 2nd half we can introduce the likes of Strauss, PDJ, Manoa and Wilson to up the tempo in the loose and at the set piece. Ryan Lamb can enter the fray and offer a different threat from flyhalf against tired legs.

Matt Garvey is rested and replaced by Ross Filipo. In the backrow, Michael Lipman replaces Julien Salvi, but there is no place for Sergio Parisse who has been retained by Italy. Pedrie Wannenburg keeps his place after impressing against the Exiles. In the backs, Jimmy Gopperth, James Fitzpatrick and Mike Brown come in for Nicky Robinson, Jonathan Joseph and Richard Haughton.

Nonu to be focus of Attack then use him as dummy with Carter pulling the strings.
Put pressure on Tom Heathcote. Inexperienced fly half won’t hold up well in a big game. Playing FH will probably also need some time to settle in.

General Gameplan;
With a solid home win at home last week the Falcons this week will get a chance to rotate some of the fringe players, in the away tie. This oppurtunity will allow some boys to put their hand up for selection in the run in, and allow fresh legs through out the game.
Our gameplan will be simple as we will look to get up in the opposition faces, not giving them a moment to spare. This will lead to pressure and this will generate to mistakes and penalties.
Our pack is fully committed to the Falcons cause and the grizzled front five along with the backrow will look to dominate the collisions and rucks to give us forward momentum. This will get us over the gainline each time, and causing the Worcester defence to always be on the back foot.
The quality possession from our clever and dynamic forward play will allow us to release our potent backline, with Hodgson looking to play intelligently by getting the ball away cleanly from rucks. This will allow Heathcote and Shingler to get on the ball in midfield and create mismatches so we can spread the ball out wide to our dangerous runners to make use of the space on offer.

Quins will play a high tempo game based around dynamic ball carriers and offloads whilst being solid in the setpiece and securing our own ball. Our pack will look to cause problems in the tight , grinding out the hard yards when needed and ruuning off Cips standing on the gain line. Chris Robshaw returns to lead the side and after a game and a bit over the last 2 weeks he'll be rareing to go alongside the battle harderned Nick Easter and Matt Kvesic will aim to cause problems on the deck.

Frans brings top class experience and a wonderful skill set to the team, equally comfortable in attack and defence and a top class kicking game from the hand and the tee. Owen Franks starts from the off after a rest last week. We are putting out our strongest team and bulkiest pack, looking for an away win at the Stoop.

TACTICS
Target the front five and look to build a platform in the set piece. Away from home we want to play the basics, secure the scrum and give Classens and Donald quick clean ball. The axis of Classens, Donald and Steyn gives us plenty of kicking options, to ensure we play in the right areas. Use the experience of 9/10 to control the game and gain the upper hand, Steyn to kick penalties, to ensure we come away with points on each visit to the 22. If slow ball, use Steyn's drop goal as a weapon, using scoreboard pressure to disrupt Quins and unsettle the home crowd. With the lineout prowess of Muller, we can challenge and disrupt opposition ball.
BACKS
* In our 22 use Donald and Steyn to kick long, but find touch. Play sensible rugby in our half, mixing up the point of attack with Donald and Steyn interchanging and Steyn dropping in behind as a second playmaker, looking for gaps upfield
* Donald and Steyn to take the ball flat on the gainline, looking to test Cipriani's defence at every opportunity, using the crash ball to break the gainline and set up a ruck for quick ball
* Dagg encouraged to come into the line during attack and given a free rein, looking to track the shoulders of Steyn and Lualala when they make the half break
* Steyn to lead the rush defence, pressurising the half backs and looking for intercepts
* Cook to come on after 60 mins, his fresh legs and pace will be a threat around the fringes, keeping the opposition defence narrow. Banahan unleashed after 50 mins to test tired defence, he will relish running at the 10 channel.
FORWARDS
* Franks to put real pressure on Marler at scrum time, looking for penalty wins and a potential yellow card. Power of Muller and Attwood to challenge opposition ball, forcing back row and scrum half to work off scrappy ball
* Use a big physical front five full of ball carrying options of Franks, Attwood, Muller, Lund and Fearns to smash holes in the narrow channels. We look to earn the right to play wide.
* Louw is the breakdown man, he is the first to tackle area, looking to use his strength to stay on his feet and force turnovers and penalties. Without a specialist 7, we feel that Louw could have real success and be a nuisance
* Perenise and Catt to come on after 60 mins to freshen up the front row. Both are great in the loose and will add to the ball carrying options. Mercer comes on to replace Lund, to give us another link forward, very useful as the game opens up later on.

Tactics
- Use the set piece as a platform to build attacks. At scrum time, we have 5 big front row scrummagers at our disposal to compete. If it's not going our way, Halrinordoquy to pick and go to set it up.
- Similarly with the lineout, use jumpers Kennedy, Pocock and Gibson. Opt for full lineouts in their half to tie in their pack and go for off-the-top ball to get wide quickly.
- Target the breakdown for possible turnovers, with Pocock staying strong on his feet. When they arise, two quicks balls away and go. Backs, forwards, back yourselves.
- Be disciplined at the breakdown, with a guard and bodyguard at every breakdown to stop those easy yards around the fringes. No excuses here.
- Big runners off Geraghty to give us real go forward. Occasionally look for the inside ball off 9 or 10 to cut them apart. The space will come, and when it does, we go.
- Play to our strenths. Our pack can compete at the set piece but where we can really hurt sides is out wide. Look to get outside their guards and bodyguards to suck in more and more forwards at each breakdown, giving space out wide.
- Allinson to prawl behind the defense line and mop up any breaks or half breaks. Patrol the breakdown area and keep an eye up for numbers.
- Play rugby in their half. Allinson and Geraghty to put us in the right places and alow us to use our lineout weapon.
- Homer to go for points at every opportunity.We can have a pop from anywhere in their half. Make them scared to give away penalties in their half, thus giving us more time at the breakdown.

Tactics
In the damp conditions we’ll be looking to play a high tempo game and limit the offloading with the greasy ball. We’ll be looking for big carries from our pack to free up space around the fringes for out talented backline to work in.
We will look to set a tone in the set piece with our big scrummaging front 5 and will look for the squeeze from the off. Deacon will lead the line and we will look to target the opposition's throw with Newby/Kitchener marshalling the front/middle of the line. We'll use big carries from our pack to draw in the opposition defence with Youngs marshalling and looking for gaps to exploit around the fringes.
Wallace & Newby will target the breakdown with Youngs sniping around and playing flat to the line to allow Barnes & Manu space to run into. JOC will come looking for the ball in midfield and link up with Manu causing problems in the opposition midfield. We'll look to refresh pack around 60mins + and keep up the intensity.
- Look to get JOC onto the ball as much as possible, look to use to loop with Tuilagi
- Barnes to kick whats on offer and keep the board ticking over
- Get Care on in second half to give him some game time in Tigers jersey

This is a massive match and; after a big win last week we are on a high. It will be a clash of running backs and we will look to stop Barnes having any time on the ball. Lambie will look at running rugby and we will use Wood and JVN to lead the pack. We will look to play simple rugby in the backs with easy hands and exploiting the gaps when they come. We know Exeter are good at killing a match so will look for quick ball to prevent this and to take the points when possible.

Take all points - Mieres will take every penalty at goal, and look to take any drop goal opportunities to build a lead.
Defensive
Blitz Defence - We will look to blitz and stop the Gloucester carriers before they hit the gainline. Thomas will sweep in behind the line.
Breakdown - We will look to get our back row there quickly and contest for the ball if it's on to be won, but we will not overcommit, instead maintaining a sold defensive line to repel Gloucesters ball carriers.
Key Points
Form/Momentum/Confidence - We have won our last two and have momentum and confidence. Gloucester were hammered last week and have no momentum whatsoever.
Conditions - Conditions are not great for running rugby so we have picked a big powerful side to execute a simple but effective gameplan.
Freshness in the pack - We have freshened up our pack with 4 changes, ready for a battle. Gloucester have only changed their hooker from last weeks defeat so there must be some tiredness there.
Backs - We have selected powerful, defensively solid backs to execute a simple plan. Gloucester have selected lighter backs with only 2 in the same shirts as last week, meaning there will have to be some confusion amongst them if executing complex backs moves.

General Game Plan:
We want to play the game in the right areas and Myler will look to use his intelligent kicking game to put us there. When in Wasps territory we will use our strong carriers to attack gaps and half gaps in the Wasps line, looking to offload in contact to support runners thus changing the point of attack and keeping our forward momentum going.
On defence, we will use a blitz defence coming up at pace looking to isolate the Wasps ball carriers before they can get to the gain line stopping any momentum and allowing us to hit the breakdown harder. Roberts will act as a sweeper to cover any grubbers or chips behind the line while our back three will sit deep ready to cover any kicks down the touch lines and counter attack at pace.
With the blitz in operation we will look to be at the breakdown first hitting it fast and hard. The first two players on the scene will look to ruck past the ball and clear out the Wasps players providing quick counter attacking ball to be used against a disorganised defensive line. If the ball does not look available we will not commit to the ruck and look to strengthen the defensive line instead.
Key Points:
•We are unbeaten so far this season and have built some serious momentum. With a baying home crowd at the hostile Gardens looking to intimidate both Wasps and the ref, Wasps will need to be at their very best to win!
•We will contest every engagement! On our own feed we will look to get the wheel on and create extra room for our 8-9-10 axis to work in. On Wasps ball we will disrupt the put in looking for penalties or to create rushed poor ball for the Wasps halfbacks.
•We feel we have the power to cause the Wasps front row real problems and dominate here. We will look to go to the scrum at every opportunity with Read in his role as captain in the refs ear.
•With 5 jumpers and minimal challenge on our ball, we want to really use the lineout as an attacking platform like South Africa in recent years. We will use a full compliment and play the ball off the top allowing our halfbacks to get on the ball at pace with room outside.
•In the line on Wasps ball we will look for Kieran Read to mark Wentzel and cut out the main Wasps jumping option, leaving Day and the rest of our back 5 to try and poach the ball.
•We will test the Wasps wingers out, as they are both known to be caught on the turn. Myler will look to execute kick and chases and cross field kicks into the corners when he sees either out of position.
•In the 2nd half we can introduce the likes of Strauss, PDJ, Manoa and Wilson to up the tempo in the loose and at the set piece. Ryan Lamb can enter the fray and offer a different threat from flyhalf against tired legs.

General Gameplan;
With a solid home win at home last week the Falcons this week will get a chance to rotate some of the fringe players, in the away tie. This oppurtunity will allow some boys to put their hand up for selection in the run in, and allow fresh legs through out the game.
Our gameplan will be simple as we will look to get up in the opposition faces, not giving them a moment to spare. This will lead to pressure and this will generate to mistakes and penalties.
Our pack is fully committed to the Falcons cause and the grizzled front five along with the backrow will look to dominate the collisions and rucks to give us forward momentum. This will get us over the gainline each time, and causing the Worcester defence to always be on the back foot.
The quality possession from our clever and dynamic forward play will allow us to release our potent backline, with Hodgson looking to play intelligently by getting the ball away cleanly from rucks. This will allow Heathcote and Shingler to get on the ball in midfield and create mismatches so we can spread the ball out wide to our dangerous runners to make use of the space on offer.

Saints have the dominance up front, especially in the front row, where the difference is huge. Although the Saints backs are a touch uninspiring, I think that they will have too much possession and Myler and Roberts pull the strings nicely. I haven't seen much of Fitzpatrick at 13, so can't rate him and it seems a pretty one dimensional centre partnership. Again, home advantage and a very tasty bench means Saints have enough here. Gopperth kicks well, but doesn't offer too much in terms of flair and try scoring opportunities are limited for Wasps

I'd agree with ITFL and think that his 8 9 10 12 axis is superb and it is a crucial part of this game. Conversely, Newcastle look out of sorts in those key positions, with changes and new faces in there. I see parity in the packs up front, with not much in the front row. Worcester's back row will have an advantage though, will some good carriers and athleticism.

Sale Sharks 15-19 Saracens
Can’t see a budge either way in the front 5 in this one. Kubs would usually get some joy at the scrum but is on his last legs at this stage for Sale. In the back row theres an extra touch of quality to the Sarries line up. (Sale may have got the better of the breakdown though if Fourie where playing in real life)
Two very strong halfback combos on show. Sarries shading it slightly for quality and have no settling issues this week with a real life combo. In the backs Sale have a bit more in midfield while the back 3s are fairly even all round. Decent benches on show from both sides. Should be noted the Sale 9-10-12 axis is looking a bit jaded at the moment though.
Not an awful lot between the 2 sides but Sarries have a bit more quality in the back row and halfbacks which is crucial here and they pick up a crucial win on the road.
Harlequins 12-19 Bath Rugby
Bath with one of the best front 5s in the league nowadays should get an edge at the set piece. Both sides well matched in the loose though. In the back row can’t see Louw dominating the breakdown with Quins flanks more then capable there but Robshaw won’t have the same affect as usual today on his side with his involvement with England.
Through the back line there is an extra touch of quality to the Bath line up but none more so then at halfback and the Bath pair with Steyn at 12 can really dictate the pace in this game for me. Not much in it quality wise from the bench

Tigers can get an edge at scrum time here but Irish can get real control at the lineout. Back row is a step up in quality to Irish with young Wallace on a learning curve today against one of the best around.
Halfbacks is a step up to Tigers with Barnes a class above all on show. Youngs may not provide the service he needs on current form though. (Care was a top signing for you Pooly!!!!) In the backs Irish with more threat out wide but Tigers with the stronger midfield on show. A concern though for me about Tigers though is that a lot of their carrying work will have to come through Tuilagi and Waldrom who have played an awful lot of rugby. Some real quality on the bench for both sides but can’t see Corbs, Cole or Warburton really getting involved in this one with key roles for their countries at the moment.

Gloucester Rugby 14-12 Exeter Chiefs
Slight advantage to Glaws in the front 5 with a very mobile front row on show. The Chiefs backrow can get an edge at the breakdown with Armitage starring but Gloucester can get some serious go forward.
More on show in the Gloucester halfbacks with Lambie a real talent. In the backlines Nacewa the main threat but Glaws with a bit more quality overall. Chiefs with more to come into the game in the final quarter with some serious impact in BDP, Horwill and Cruden.
Chiefs can make a will go of this in the last 20 minutes but Gloucester should have enough about them to hold on to the lead

Can’t see a budge either way in the front 5 in this one. Kubs would usually get some joy at the scrum but is on his last legs at this stage for Sale. In the back row theres an extra touch of quality to the Sarries line up. (Sale may have got the better of the breakdown though if Fourie where playing in real life)
Two very strong halfback combos on show. Sarries shading it slightly for quality and have no settling issues this week with a real life combo. In the backs Sale have a bit more in midfield while the back 3s are fairly even all round. Decent benches on show from both sides. Should be noted the Sale 9-10-12 axis is looking a bit jaded at the moment though.
Not an awful lot between the 2 sides but Sarries have a bit more quality in the back row and halfbacks which is crucial here and they pick up a crucial win on the road.
Harlequins 12-19 Bath Rugby
Bath with one of the best front 5s in the league nowadays should get an edge at the set piece. Both sides well matched in the loose though. In the back row can’t see Louw dominating the breakdown with Quins flanks more then capable there but Robshaw won’t have the same affect as usual today on his side with his involvement with England.
Through the back line there is an extra touch of quality to the Bath line up but none more so then at halfback and the Bath pair with Steyn at 12 can really dictate the pace in this game for me. Not much in it quality wise from the bench
Bath dictate the set piece and the pace of the game here and pick up a good win at the Stoop

Sale 15-18 Sarries
Can see Sarries nicking this. Sharks may get some advantage at scrum time but I can see Sarries slowing their ball down and gaining some turnovers at the breakdown. Think Sale's 9-10 will be struggling after a lot of game time and can see Parra and James finding the gaps to kick into.
Quins 18-24 Bath
Back row he only place where Quins will gain advantage here. Donald will cope with slow ball and think that Bath's centre's will give Quins all sorts of problems and Cips tackling will be questioned. Another good win for Bathite here.
Irish 18-20 Tigers
Massive battle here and Irish were leading quite well by getting turnovers from their back rows and neutralising Tigers' front 5. In the backs Tigers will have some success but on slow ball will struggle to break the gaps. It's the bench that wins this.
Saints 20-15 Wasps
Can't see past a Saints win here. Obviously home advantage helps but think they will dominate most areas apart from the lineout where Wentzel will make it scrappy. I feel that there will be some big clashes in midfield but only if Gopperth actually releases the ball! No tactics don't help Wasps.

Not going to be a very entertaining game this one in the conditions. Both packs have enough beef to be competitive and there is unlikely to be much give either way. There is the issue of form for both sides with players like Sheridan and Brown who have been out for a while, but they basically cancel each other out on that count. Not sure that Brock James would have the nerve to steer his side to an away win in this poor conditions and the Sale backs have a little more power to them which I think would be required in the conditions. Both scores divisible by 3 at the end of this one.

Sale 22-20 Saracens - In poor conditions think Sale nick it at Edgley park with a dogged and big pack and a good controlling half back combo with Wilko to kick the points. Two big centres to bosh the ball up as well. Sarries half backs will keep them in the game but think theyre backline lacks a little to really put the pressure on Sale.
Quins 27-29 Bath - A good free flowing game, a young Quins side who will excite fans and run a lot of ball and score tries, but can see them letting a few in also especially against a big experienced Bath pack that will provide good ball for Donald, Steyn, Dagg etc.

But at Kingsholm on this occasion Glos pick up a vital win.

Bath will get a nudge in the scrum but lienout is far closer, with a slight advantage to Quins. Cipriani is a player i struggle to rate, but i can see him performing well in attack but equally badly in defence. This means a high scoring game. Bath's overall better pack gives them the edge.

Leicester have a huge advantage in the scrum, where i expect Ayerza and Castro to give Ion and Dermody a proper going over. Irish lineout will be decent, but i can't rate it too highly due to Servat being a relatively new signing and the fact he has been away with France for alot of the time he has been at Irish so will not have that relationship with Kennedy and Evans as of yet. Barnes beats Geraghty in game management and i prefer the combos in the rest of the Leicester backs. Irish's superior backrow keeps it relatively close.

Especially Sharples against Nacewa in a one on one. I do think Glaws not starting Morgan is a mistake in the conditions and i see May as a liability. But i think Exeter lacking BDP and Howill in the pack will be the decisive factor.

Gloucester 24-20 Exeter
Pete is obviously looking to nail his home games with his weakend selection this week. Can't see the tactic of playing a structured game work overly well with Gloucester possibly edging set piece ball and allowing Qera & JVN good ball to take Gloucester forward ball. Behind the pack Gloucester have some quality combo's. Exeter will be tough to break down but only see Gloucester winning.

Northampton 26-23 Wasps
Extremely strong pack for Saints that will strangle the life out of Wasps in the scrum. The backrow would be a tasty battle but as a combo Saints will provide a better platform. I think Wasps have the stronger backline on show and will push Saints hard but too good a platform for Saints to lose this one.

Worcester 28-22 Newcastle
Very strong front 5 from falcons that will push a good Worcester unit around. Past there it's a different story with Worcester a much superior backrow, half backs and centres. Brussow could have done some damage but he wouldn't have changed the result. A strong win for a strong Worcester outfit at home.

Sale Sharks 18 - 15 Saracens
With the sides put out and the conditions the game is played in, this was always going to be a tight affair. The battle of the front fives, just goes to the Sharks. But Saracens nick the backrow battle. Hence there is about an even amount of ball to either side in this one. What seperates the two is the quality of the Sale backline in the conditions, where their halfbacks excel in controlling the game. The Saracens halfback pairing do well to get them a losing bonus point, but just not enough in the end.
Harlequins 16 - 22 Bath Rugby
A good battle up front here, as both teams look for an edge over each other here. The lineout battle falls on the side of Quins here but the scrummaging goes to the Bath boys. I like the balance of the Quins backrow, one of the best in the league as Easter and Robshaw have been playing very well recently. However this game is won by the Bath backs having a touch of class and ruthlessness about them. There are some negatives for me with the Quins, Flutey was a good player, but lacks form now. Cipriani's defence is suspect with Steyn and Lualua running at him. This in turn yields dividends and Bath score a well worked try with Biggs going over in the corner.
London Irish 18 - 23 Leicester Tigers
I can't see past the Tigers, as they have the upperhand in some telling areas. Firstly the front row will receive a hiding at scrum time, despite having Servat, Ion and Dermody will get a lesson from the Leicester props. The rest of the foward battle is pretty much even, the lineout can just be edged to Irish, but with Tigers dominating at scrum time it's difficult for the Irish quality backrow to get around the park and hands on the ball. This makes it difficult for the backline to get going, but they manage to steal some ball and score a few scores. But it is little to prevent Barnes and the leicester backline running a mock despite the shaky form of Youngs.

But with some big names missing out or not starting and being away from home it gives them a tough time against a talented Glos team. The forwards are pretty even maybe an edge to the Gloucester fowards at scrum time, but lineouts to the Chiefs, with a good backrow around the park giving them options. But the possession that the REd and Cherries obtain allows their dangerous backs to take them ahead. The boot of Meires keeps Chiefs in the game.

Top 3 picking up good wins but there will be only 5 points between 12th and 4th place looking at the table after these games. Thats a hell of a tight table with just 4 games left to go and everyone is still fighting for Europe and playoffs!
