The WWE have just spent 6 weeks pushing a monumental return for Chris Jericho just so it makes him look important enough for CM Punk to beat at WrestleMania
Guys on a "de-push" don't get that kind of rub

Well by taking the title off him and putting him in a feud with mizarny then yes. Reckon by end of the month this will happen because jericho/punk won't have a 4 month + program.

I think Punk's segments have generally been well received though, I know putting the title on Cena seems to be WWE's default mode though

Yeah, i think it comes down to the quality of the actual show leading up to the point he appears rather than Punk himself. Can't see having Cena as champ would help things.

The three matches are:
John Cena vs. Kane in a Last Man Standing Match.
WWE Champion CM Punk defending the title.
World Champion Daniel Bryan's first title defense in MSG.

If that stays as it is, looks like Punk & Bryan are going into Mania as champions as I doubt they would take the belts off them 2 weeks before Mania.

Bryan going into mania as champ,give me a break. The guy is nowhere near ready for it. Wouldn't surprise me if its Henry,Orton wins the rumble and barrett cashes in mitb on Orton.
