NXT Season 5 - HUGE NEWS!!

BAH GAWD! TATSU! TATSU! MENTORING SAXTON! BAH GAWD! SHADES OF THE ROCKERS! WINDOWS! BARBERS! BEEFCAKE! CARTMAN!! TATSU! TATSU! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY TATSU!!!!!

The fifth season of NXT Season Five is called NXT Redemption and features six runner-up contestants from previous seasons. The cast is as follows:

* Byron Saxton with Pro Yoshi Tatsu

* Conor O'Brian with Pro Vladimir Kozlov

* Darren Young with Pro Chavo Guerrero

* Jacob Novak with Pro JTG

* Lucky Cannon with Pro Tyson Kidd

* Titus O'Neil with Pro Hornswoggle

The broadcast team consists of Todd Grisham and William Regal. Matt Striker and Maryse act as the show's hosts.

It was announced that there is no immunity in Season Five.

At least he gets something to do, he has rarely been even having matches on superstars!

I am now a Byron Saxton fan.

Because of his mentor he'll obviously win NXT Season 5, Tough Enough and the Diva Search but leaving mentors out of this for just now......leave him......I said leave him.........just for a second........back away from the TATSU! TATSU! GOOD GAWD ALMIGHTY TASTU! dammit!

Right, now that we've left the mentors out of this for a bit, who do you see winning this? None of them are exactly standouts are they? Well except Darren Young but the only reason he stands out is because he shared a womb with John Cena.

I would say that only Titus and Byron Saxton have the 'look' that McMahon would go for.

I'd like to see them start a new all black faction called 'The Brotherhood'.

They could have David Otunga continually try and join them.

Every week they could say he's not peed off enough or not black enough to join them. Then he'd get annoyed and they'd be like "Ah but you're only annoyed so you can't join".

Then his tears would trickle all the way down his spangly trunks & he'd fall over just because.

Until he gets so fed up he cuts a promo Booker T stylee and gets FE'd!

It makes me laugh that they pair him up with someone who's barely wrestled. Says it all about NXT as a show if you ask me.

The first series I thought was good as it was fresh and new but now it's just died a death.

I just think that the WWE are desperate to have three main shows. I mean, they bought back ECW, and then traded that in for NXT...What next?

Having just watched the show, I thought I would revive this topic rather than creating a new one. This post will contain SPOILERS.

I'm sure this was supposed to be a "best of" season, but there are very few names here that seem to deserve anything. At least the winner of this season only gets a place in a new season, rather than winning a title shot on the main roster. As the current FCW heavyweight champion, I would expect Lucky Cannon to come close to winning along with Darren Young. One person who should just give up any career in wrestling is Jacob Novak - he can't wrestle at all. If you had seen the first match on the show, you would probably realise that Novak made Darren Young and all of his moves look awful. The selling of Young's finisher was absolutely poopie.

The best part of this show is already William Regal, followed by Maryse. Regal has toned down his heel mannerisms dramatically and even his voice is softer. He's doing what Booker T is failing to do, which is to use his in-ring history and knowledge of the wrestling game to put over the talent. He's a bit Striker-esque in his obscure references, but in a less obnoxious way. William Regal is simply phenomenal as an announcer and I'd like to see this role continue for him. Maryse stole the show just by being on it. She's got a really quick wit when left to her own devices, and her presence creates an interesting tension amongst the male characters.

That's about the end of "the good" so far. It's a shame that none of it has to do with the Rookies. Darren Young, Byron Saxton, and Conor O'Brian are the only ones who even deserve a second look unless something has changed since last time they were on NXT. Honestly, I doubt any of them are long-term keepers in WWE. There are only three standouts from past NXT seasons who are not already on the roster: Derrick Bateman, A.J., and Naomi. Lucky Cannon seems to have made the most tweaks since he was last on, with a new heel persona and a flamboyant gimmick. I think that Saxton and O'Brian will be well-served to drop previous characters (Rock Jr. and "The Rat," respectively) and play more realistic characters.

I am a bit curious about why they are already talking about NXT 6, and what is so special about it that someone would want to suffer through NXT 5 just to get to it.

Can you not stop with all this TATSU SH*T it was boring on the old 606.
