Worst innings you've ever seen...

We often talk about the great innings we have seen, but what I want to know is what are the worst innings you have ever seen?

Whether it has included some huge slices of luck, a painfully slow strike rate where the batsman can't get it off the cut strip, or just a brainless innings that was completely wrong for the situation.

Some Paul Collingwood innings were pretty horrible...

I find most of Alistair Cook's innings hard to watch.

i never saw it but gavaskar's innings here must rate as one of the worst when looking at the match situation

Difficult one. Some knocks, like Colly's are not always easy on the eye but on the other hand I do admire a gritty knock.

I once watched Dirk Welham hit a ODI ton which was shall we say blessed with luck and some edgy cut shots.

Dravid's 3 run's from 61 balls, against England. And any Chris Tavare innings whilst playing for England, he was very painful to watch.

There have been some horrific ducks, around 20 balls faced only to get out for 0, those innings have to rank up there with the worst of them.

The sr of the modern test innings are vastly higher than they used to be, probably started by the Aussie's in the early 90's who took a more aggressive approach to batting, with other teams following. Prior to that, a lot of innings had much lower batting sr. Scoring 250 from 150 overs was quite the norm. And when i have looked back at the early stats, in a lot of Test's, scoring, a lot of the time was 1 or 2 run's per over at the end of the innings.

Wonder, what they would have thought of T20.

Even the great Martin Crowe once got booed by the Sri-Lankan crowd for scoring 19 in four hours.

Panesar Vs South Africa at the 2007 World Cup. Not sure if he managed to even hit the ball, but he lasted a painfully long time (for not many runs).

I tried to find a video of "Peter Such batting" on youtube and what came out on top of the search was " Girls playing cricket in Afghanistan" which pretty much sums it up.
