It was reported today that the great Robert Vaughan will be joining Coronation Street for a 3 week run as a love interest for Roy Croppers mum Sylvia . He will play Milton a rich american who woos her on a cruise and then turns up on the cobbles to see her again .

I loved him in The Man from UNCLE and the Protectors , also like Hustle .. but for me he will always be one of " The Magnificent 7 "
