Time for Halfpenny to become first choice goal kicker.

Not only does Halfpenny have a monster boot, but he's extremely accurate. His penalty was on target and only failed to make the distance by a gnats pube.

He regularly takes all the goal kicks when he plays for the Blues.

Wales need to get out of this mentality of always picking the 10 to kick goals. Halfpenny is our best kicker and most consistent and should ALWAYS take kicks. Hook had a shocker & Jones missed an easy conversion. These kicks MUST be struck in tight games. Wales had far more chances to win than France and we screwed them all up.

Even Gavin Henson should be considered as a goal kicker if he's ever allowed near the Wales team again.

Halfpenny only really kicks straight long distance kicks - however, he may well become the 1st choice kicker for the Blues this season.

are all good kickers on their day, unfortunatly they were not great today, (Halfpenny, Jones and Hook all missed penalties they would get 70% of the time)

What is beyond me is why LH didn't take a couple of the early kicks from distance.

You get the feeling that had they no reason to lose confidence, namely if the Warbs fiasco hadn't happened, they will have knocked over more kicks. Hook nailed a difficult one before things went nightmarish. As it is they bottled up.

Maybe composure is what needs modifying, not the kicker.
