Wales player ratings

"Sam our captain" does the stupidest thing ever seen at a world cup and in my opinion destroyed Wales entire world cup with one moment of madness.

Let's not forget Wales missed about 45 of their own lineouts. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Game was there to win and we kicked every chance in the teeth.

Charteris and AWJ 5. Really? Both 9. They were excellent. Line out went to pieces, but every player bar hook were magnifficent.

Who cares about ratings? We were exceptional with 14 men. France wre hanging on.

Losing about a billion of your own lineouts is shameful.

I dont think you can rate our players fairly, having to play with a man down for most of the game would sap anyones energy levels

Those ratings are a bit random. However, he's right about AWJ and Charteris. If you lose that many line-outs then your main jumpers (and hooker) are doing something majorly wrong.

Rubbish. I'll have a crack:

Halfpenny - 9. Great under high ball and in covering. The missed kick will be with him for a long time.
North - 7. Some good touches but not really used enough.
Davies - 7. Good in defense and decent touches in attack.
Roberts - 8. Always a threat going forward, looks to have developed a more rounded game.
Williams -7. Never found the space to be effective, but tried his best and never made any mistakes.
Hook - 4. Took the wrong decisions at crucial times and kicking wasn't good enough to implement the game plan
Phillips - 9. Immense., took his try well.

Jenkins -7. Incredible energy but part of a front row that struggled.
Bennett -6. Tides up and carries ball well but was a key part of a struggling line-out team.
Jones - ?. Injured.
Charteris - 8. Revelation this world cup, puts in a massive shift.
Jones - 7. Put in the work but left early.
Lydiate -7. Fantastic worker, not sure why he was replaced?
Warburton -?. Looked like captain fantastic again until the card.
Faletau - 9. Incredible step-up from this man, who dealt with a backwards scrum and sloppy possession well, also a fine break.

I thought Halfpenny was excellent, and Faletau had his best game I've seen, he was superb.

Faletau was the man of the match imo, absolutely outstanding. Charteris has been a revelation this world cup. There was one period of play were in made three tackles in a row, remarkable workrate.
