Fans that rush the ring

One of my favourite moments in wrestling was the fan backstage who jumped in front of Batista before being chased off by security guards, however, I think I have found a new fave:

How does this work exactly? Was the guy a plant (I doubt it)? If not, why are they hitting pro wrestling moves on him (ie pulling their punches)? Or are they genuinely beating him up/ stomping on him?

I'd heard the Batista one was a work too but I couldn't source it.

The NWO one isn't a work, people were so livid at Hogan for turning heel minutes earlier that some took it abit too seriously. I remember the ring was full with rubbish being thrown that night. I heard a beer bottle that was chucked hit Oakerland and broke his nose.

I can remember years ago just after king booker won the world title from rey, they had a stand off when some old women jumped the barrier and was standing between them giving a scolding. Not sure if that was a work though.

The Batista one was when Regal was GM and they where trying to sell the fact their was anarchy, the set fell on Vince, Vince called HHH Paul, Regal cut the Orton/HHH title mid match while RAW was still running, anyway, all those baskstage segments are pre taped before RAW airs and entered in at te appropriate times

The NWO one is real. There were pictures of it happening floating about years back.

If I remember correctly, wasn't there a fan interruption during a Ladder match between Eddie Guerrero and R.V.D? I think Eddie was about to climb up and grab the title when a fan jumped the barrier and pushed the ladder from under Eddie, causing Eddie to fall, but I think he landed on his feet and continued.

jammy i think ive seen that, and if i remember rightly eddie defo didnt pull his kicks as security got the bloke out of the ring he layed right into him.

I think the superstars have every right to lay into the fans that disrupt the match by doing something like that. Has there ever been a law suit against a superstar for beating down a fan who's interrupted a match?

In one of Chris Jericho's books and describes using a "guy's nuts as a punch bag" and Stone Cold had to be the voice of reason
