Hingis back for Australian Open?

At the risk of incurring raider's wrath , I wondered if anyone else had seen this? I know Martina's participation with Federer in mixed doubles at the Olympics has been widely speculated about, but the rumours are now that she will enter for Melbourne in mixed doubles, and also looks to be involved in a proposed senior ladies event!

Misleading headline, I thought she was actually back on the WTA main tour

When this subject was 1st raised, it was brought up that it had attachments to doubles rankings - so simply participating in Mixed Doubles in Australia and Paris would NOT be enough. Hingis would have to play WTA Tour Doubles events.

To date, I haven't heard anything else, having googled extensively for this subject.

I'd welcome a return by Martina to the tour, though I would imagine it would be for Doubles only, still, she would still be a force to be reckoned with as a doubles player; depending with whom she "paired," I think she could have some success.

It would be great to see her and Roger playing Mixed, but I think there are other requirements and not sure she's going to be "up" for them.

Let's hope!

It's high time Hingis made a comeback. I'm sure she can still manage a good hit, and smack the ball without making too much of a hash of it.
A joint appearance with Fed at the AO Mixed, then a crack at the Olympic Gold perhaps?

I recall Hewitt/Federer playing doubles at Wimbledon.
