Bonjourno!

Nobody likes to see that...

But how on earth did he miss that sitter? laughing I believe that is the end of his Chelsea career now. We know how much of a confidence player is and there is no way he will recover from that.

As for Frank Lampard, is that the end of an era? I thought he would rival Giggs for oldest age in the Premier league. I doubt he will finish the season now.

2 players with no confidence.

... What a miss though!

Dont agree with that. Torres looked back to his own self before the miss, hopefully it doesnt affect him too much. I dont support Chelsea but was honestly gutted that happened after his performance today and how its been for him at chelsea so far.

Torres looked good, won't affect him, in fact think he may go on a run now....... as for Lumpard, he was finished 2 years ago

I think part of the problem is that Torres was not a £50million player when they signed him. He was on a terrible run of form and had started to decline.

He showed a lot of signs yesterday that he still has it, but he has been burndened by a pricetag that was inflated due to the timing of the deal.

If Chelsea play to Torres strenghts he will be ok, but he has to be the main man he doesn't seem to be able to play with another main striker. The problem with that is Chelsea could become a one man team just like Liverpool were. And what will happen when Drogba returns?

Kenny Dalglish missed an even easier chance v Man United, same goal, in 1979. Very Happy

I think Villas-Boas will eventually play a front three of Torres, Mata and Sturridge, Anelka has already been half-confirmed as leaving at the end of the year, and I think Drogba will go as well, possibly one of, if not both Malouda and Kalou.
