Best WWE Commentator.

Simple enough. Who do you think, out of this list, was the best. Choose other if N/A.

I've tried to include only those who did it for a prolongued period of time, hence no CM Punk.

For me, Got to be good old JR. The man can sell ice to an eskimo.

JR hands down, he makes good moments into great moments.

Jim Ross hasn't been good for five years IMO

I think we would need to esablish to different votes, one for a play by play and another for colour commentator

I voted for JR, but I actually think Michael Cole is really underated as a commentator on here. He is a class above anyone at the moment in my opinion, and has really upped his game since the heel turn.

Voted for Joey Styles, if only for creating the most retrospectively awkward memory in announcing history with the whole Mike Awesome Suicide Dive fiasco.

But seriously the guy has been the best to emerge since the Golden Era and its a shame he doesn't announce outside of Ryder's Youtube shows.

I think he's started doing SuperStars, I agree, Styles is head and shoulders above anyone else in WWE

Ross is still the best currently by some distance. He's been so badly used in the past 5 years which is hardly his fault.

Agree though you have to differenciate between color & play by play & have two seperate polls

I think Michael Cole is excellent but he'll never get the respect of the fanbase for what he does.

He was ok as a play by play face but as a heel he does nothing to elevate the talent, he mocks everybody & is basically being feed lines by McMahon anyway. As a heel character however he does seem to generate heat, he'd do well in a managerial roll

I disagree that it was hardly Jim Ross' fault, he was so underwhelming and unmotivated and unprofessional in the aftermath of his draft, Michael Cole in 06 & 07 really blew him out the water, Joey Styles on ECW in 06, 07 & 08 was also sell ahead of him

And my personal favourite, during an Ultimate Warrior v Rick Rude match at (I think) Summerslam 88. Warrior just decked Rude with the starters bell on the outside:

Schiavone "But it's outside the ring"

Ventura "What?! Are you telling me you can shoot guy and it is ok because it is outside the ring?" You know what, you're even dumber than Monsoon!"

Although i voted for Joey, its nice to see most people vote for the commentator that WWE tried to brush under the rug so many times.

Booker reminds me of Randy Savage's commentary for some reason...

Brain and Gorilla are the best pairing of all time for me. My vote goes to Heenan, will never forget his work at the 92 Rumble.

How anyone can vote for Joey Styles in this is beyond me. He was great in ECW, but nothing more than a poor man's Jim Ross in WWE. The only memorable thing he ever contributed was that worked-shoot promo.

Damn Lil Jimmys!

JBL's biggest problem is the relatively short time he was a commentator.

I do wish he would come back though, as he was excellent, and his heel work is excellent, would love to see him and Booker together.

JR for me , just made the commentary for me , just his commentary about Mick Foley at King of The Ring 1998 , was pure class!
