It's more sane than claiming the English prem was "thriving" like you did just a few weeks ago... Please don't act like you're the sane one here when it was so obvious how much the prem was struggling even before all these unfortunate events unfolded.

You're going to have to be more specific as always.

The average debt of a URC team is likely to be the same as the average debt of an English team. But the sugar daddies of the URC teams have extremely deep pockets.

Lets also not forget that in very recent times, two of the current teams in the URC have had to be taken over by new owners in the event of financial emergencies. Both would have been in administration if not for being saved (but we don't hear much about this. Funny that)

Zebre and Dragons are first up against the CVC wall, I reckon.

Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dragons have been up for sale for 5 years plus. Worcester and Wasps both have potential new owners within weeks.

Again, that's not being mentioned here.

Munster can't afford to pay back the rest of Irish rugby more than €100k a year, allegedly.

Connacht get a free one.

Why does nobody report this? It's nowhere near an even playing field.

The money was from the Stormont executive, there was also over £60m for the redevelopment of Casement park, for another all ireland body, and £25m for Windsor Park, its scandalous that the Stormont Executive would invest in local infrastructure is it?

As for Connacht, its an investment, mosty paid for by the Large Scale Sports Infrastructure Fund.The strategic benefits of the project to the entire region are also closely aligned with the Government’s National Planning Framework, Project Ireland 2040 as well as the recently launched National Sports Policy, all of which highlight the need for a regional spread of capital investment throughout the country.

Don't know about having lost 10s of millions durning its life as independent economic research carried out in 2016, found that Connacht Rugby contributes €34.4 million to the regional economy. The delivery of this project will increase that contribution and provide a beacon for regional development in the West of Ireland.

I’m more than happy to just lock these threads down, because there are too many people who think it’s okay to act like whoppers on this forum. I’m fed up of having to trudge through pages of crap. It’s fair to assume most of you are adults, so act like it or I’ll start getting rid of you. This is a rugby discussion site, not have a childish dig at people site etc.
