RWC Shirts - Are England missing a trick? Empty RWC Shirts - Are England missing a trick?

Are England missing a trick with their shirts, Noticed the Japanese shirts look like they have been covered with a shiny gripping plastic substance over the front of the shirt yet the England kit looks like what you can buy in the shop. Both Canterbury shirts so why are they so different, I'm sure Japan have not been suffering the handling errors most other teams have been.

How often do you see kiwis dropping the ball as they are running towards the try line?

Interesting point. Possibly something to it. Could be something they're applying themselves, that isn't part of the shirt design?

Japan not the only side using this shimmery stuff.

I say a ban and a kicking out of the WC is required for teams putting a shining gripping plastic over the front of their shirts!

Are England missing a trick?

Simple answer NO. They have "grippy" patches into their shirts as well. All sides do.

I remember the first time a shirt with the strips was worn at a RWC, but the All Blacks. They where banned from swapping their shirts after the game so that their "secret" weapon would remain secret for longer. However, the secret was already out and other countries started copying. Now they (well all tier 1 and 2) do it.

They are not always big strips like on the Japan kit, which makes them more visible. Sometimes, they are smaller spots woven into the the design and is just not as visible as others, but its there.

1) England shirts do have "grippy bits"
2) Japan are making handling errors
3) Did you not watch NZ v Canada where the Barretts put on a masterclass in dropping the ball.
