Fight clubs
Like the movie- Do you think such things would be beneficial in real life to allow men (and in theory, women) to get together and relieve tension? Men these days are expected to suppress their natural fight or flight instincts as part of civilised society, and I believe this is detrimental to their welfare. An outlet for the pent up frustration of modern life would allow us to be happier and healthier. Yes, boxing clubs/MMA can satisfy this to a certain extent, but something more gritty and real would surely be more effective.
What do you think?
(An unorthodox suggestion I know, but I'm hoping for some constructive replies).

We could also just have one day a year where everyone can take out their "pent up frustrations" and commit whatever crime they like. The can fight, murder, steal, whatever they want.
A Purge, if you will.

The one thing I thought at the end of both reading and then watching Fight Club is "well, that went well for all involved".

Don't know. Plenty of other sporting alternatives - you mention boxing etc. Rugby? Take your pick - anything that gets you knackered and can get out a bit of aggression. Even sports like tennis - look at Nick Kygios (although, tbh, maybe he does need to have a fight).
A good, proper war might help. Then again, what about all the post-conflict PTSD and anger etc? Maybe worth it if a lot of the wannabe macho types don't make it back? Sorry; that wasn't in a very constructive vein, was it?
Alternatively, plenty of people could grow up a little bit.

Christ - you're a hard man to please! The man employed you and bought you a house. You're lucky that he doesn't insist that you lick his balls on a daily basis.
