Ken Dodd

Whether it be sport, entertainment or some other walk of life, we should always be appreciative of someone who sets out to give value for money. Ken Dodd had few equals in that regard. His theatre shows were legendary for going on into the early hours. This comment from his friend and fellow Liverpudlian Jimmy Tarbuck made me smile and seems a very fitting tribute: ''Doddy's funeral is expected to be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, probably Friday too, could continue on Saturday if he really over-runs.''
