In a ironic twist I want you all to please note that you are not to post thread titles in CAPITAL LETTERS.

It is an eyesore and it has been mentioned numerous times.

This is not a request, this is an ORDER!!

If you have already posted an article in CAPITALS, edit your original posting and change to lower case.

Where do you stand on jaunty fonts?

Its not just the ones that are visible now - its something that people have been warned about on this board before and other sections.

Personally am going to hang fire until we get a definitive line from the powers that be Union. I lack the mverick spirit some of you young whippersnappers bandy about with such gay abandon.

First time I've seen any warnings but fairy muff. Do I have to check oooooold threads I may have written to see if they were in UPPER CASE? Please say no, because if I do that's a ball-ache.

No, you dont have to go back over your old threads - only those in immediate sight concern my eyesight. In other words, any that appear on the first page.

It is something that is an eyesore.

It has been pointed out on several occasions and shouldnt be a big deal to anyone. It should be common courtesy to listen to a simple request from the admin team who take the time each day to keep this forum running.

It should not be seen as a tool to go against the admins in a rebellious way.

Fair enough. Seems a bit excessive...OCD even, but ok dokie.

Over the last 24 hours, the boxing board has been over ran by juvenile posters. We have given up a lot of time discussing what to do with you all. Human Windmill has been your saviour so far. If you feel the need to respond in such a hostile manner over a simple request, then I can see his efforts have been in vein.

Now I welcome your answers - feel free to respond to me on here or via pm but let me assure you, I have no loyalties to any of the posters in this section and will act without the good grace that windy has today.

Its a great shame that this has happened, but I must say that in recent days when I have browsed many of the recent topics it does seem that a small minority of individuals has been responsible for the spoiling of many topics resulting in the thread degenerating into insult trading or being locked to all members.

I have browsed a number of boxing forums and unfortunately it only takes a small number of argumentative and silly posters to ruin the entire place.

Guys at the end of the day, its not such a difficult thing to adhere to, so why all the backwash?
All we are asking is that the title of a thread is not in capital letters. Its not such a big deal so why all the fuss about it?

I'm only having a wind up. I agree, it's not the end of the world to not type in upper case, but conversely and equally I just never thought it'd be such a serious crime against humanity to do it.

Steffan's ridiculous "Ways to make boxing appeal to the younger generation" is one for starters as was his "Letter to TRUSSMAN". There's also a number of instances where he's taken great swatches of movie dialogue and hilariously turned them into amusing articles. By "hilariously" and "amusing" I of couse mean "fri...you get the idea!

I did make mention that, left unchecked, Steffan would very soon over-run the boards with juvenile articles designed with nothing in mind other than to garner attention for himself. This went unheeded (probably under the "New Start" dictum) however, now we have his "Five ways to beat Floyd Mayweather" article which involves variations on the tactic of "hit him".

Those of us unfortunate enough to have had to suffer this fool on the 606 boards will undoubtedly have no desire to suffer the same fate here. If he wants to ramble on then surely he should be pointed in the direction on "twitter" or some other vehicle for the vacuous and socially inept. Whilst banning the lad from here may seem Draconian, I assure you that in the long run, you'll come to thank me.

So be it....Maybe if some of the guys moderating offered some decent articles.....some of us would feel less need.. and therefore not get patronised for our offerings..

..and if you can't see the similarities between D4 and Steffan then there's clearly something amiss here. They are two peas in a pod (or two clowns in the same car) and whilst Rowley may be banging the drum for Burley even more than I do for Peter Jackson, I don't think he has warped agenda vis-a-vis over-running the boards with articles that fly in the face of commonsense or cold hard FACT.

Agreed Truss, they would do well to remember that it is the posters who make a forum not the moderation team

My viewpoint by itself Hobo is inconsequential but it is one held by a great many who see things the same way, now you could carry on with the authotarian actions taken against posters doing next to nothing but when it coincides with letting others running amok it's hard to accept.

Kindergarten? Not really TRUSSMAN, when some sets out deliberately to use the forum for their own agenda (as it appears is Steffans aim), it does tend to grate after a while. The whole idea behind this forum was to be a viable alternative to the BBC forum and it provided us with an opportunity to start afresh. However, it seems that the infiltration of D4/Steffan types continues unabated and where they go, chaos and needless bickering follows.

There will always be disagreements and heated debates surrounding many of the topics raised on here but surely weeding out the dross before it has a chance to flourish is essential for the boards' continued success.

As I mentioned earlier, it's not as if Steffan doesn't have form for this stuff (much like D4 did) and he's already shown an inclination towards the absurd. You may be inclined to give him some leeway, I'd prefer a slipway..into the ocean!

All it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing...and in the case of some of the Moderation team, we seem to be inundated with vast amounts of nothing.
