The Apprentice Empty The Apprentice

Post by Trebs Sat 13 Jan - 0:09

Hello and welcome to the 2018 edition of the Apprentice. Sadly Azzy is no longer with us on 606v2, but the process continues.

Participants will be divided into two teams who will need to complete a series of football-related tasks. I will decide a winning and a losing team, and from the losers at least one person will be fired. In a minor change from the TV Show, should I feel someone in the winning team gives a particularly poor performance then they may be fired.

There will be six tasks, each running for one week. Boardrooms will generally be on a Wednesday or a Thursday, with the subsequent task being announced immediately after the boardrooms. The final will be completed at the end of February.

The winner will be the candidate who can show a wide range of skills. Leadership, Business Acumen, Strategic Thinking and being able to come up with something outside the box are all traits which will be crucial.

Before then, please confirm your participation with a comment on this thread before the teams and the first task are announced next Wednesday 17th.

I could be interested, if explained to me very slowly and allowed some time to look at an old example!

I think you'll find it ceased to be the world's best competition when you unfairly eliminated me in Round 1 instead of your mates Nick and Viva last time. #NotBitterThough

Fluxy, this should give you a good idea what it's all about.
Everyone else, I'm sure it'll be an amusing read.

Hopefully we can get plenty of numbers in - might slightly delay the start.

That was an entertaining read. I hope you'll keep Azzy away from this though. Makes Sepp Blatter look above board Wink

I stand by that decision Marky, although with years of hindsight, had Viva simply put Team Pele in the submission, I wouldn't have docked you the point that cost you your place Laugh

I feel like the referee from the Northern Ireland game.

Task 1 teams

Team A
Marky
Olly
Fluxy
Hero
Tino

Team B
Miky
BamBam
Trebs
Nadz

Task 1
In your teams of 4 i would like you to come up with a plan to get Everton to compete in the top 4 obviously with their takeover it gives you a high budget which will be set at £250m, You may also sell players via their TM Price but anyone bought for this season will not be eligible to be sold (Including Fat Sam). Incoming players must be realistic.

Money may be put towards other things such as youth facilities & staff etc

You have Until Wednesday Morning to come up with a comprehensive plan

I presume from the listing of names that the first name is the designated manager for that week?

Could you also forward it to Moshiri, Blue Bill and Elstone at Goodison as they look like they need some direction

Just read through these after a quiet day at work.

Have to say, some of the plans put forward are pretty impressive and it's a great alternative idea. Haven't got a scooby about 90% of the players you go an about, but there's certainly some research that has gone in to it.

I was particularly interested in the National League round as my team (Hartlepool Utd) are currently struggling near the bottom of it, it's not an easy league to get out of once you're stuck in it.

What do you think of Lord Nando and some of the crazy decisions he made?
Do you think BamBam was the deserved winner?
Are you thinking about applying for the apprentice yourself?

Ha Pooly, think of 90% of the players as being similar to when we used to be digging around the U20s world cup for anyone to join the academy!!

In answer to Nads questions, of course I was the deserved winner angel
