Norman Ends Four-Year Partnership With Wawrinka

Sad to see Magnus leave.

Well, Stan's rattled off GS's in their time together, so it must be regarded as a highly successful partnership. 
   Feel sure there's more to come from Stan.

Interesting timing, perhaps Norman feels that Wawrinka may struggle upon return from injury to hit heights of the last 5 years.

Norman is indeed a 'SuperCoach', looking at what he's achieved with Soderling (turning him from player who'd never ventured further than 3rd round of slam, to 2 slam finals) and then Wawrinka (turning him from talented yet flakey underachieving top 10-15 player to multiple slam winner).

Who would people most like to see Norman work with next? I'd love to see if he could take Dimitrov to the next level, or failing that, a link up with Thiem should bolster the Austrian's chances of winning at Roland Garros, and perhaps performing better on other surfaces.

He's arguably the best coach there is in tennis. In terms of bringing improvement to players that seemed destined for a certain level.

In the younger generation, the player who needs the most discipline is Kyrgios.


Soderling and Wawrinka became much more disciplined under Norman. In case of Wawrinka, the previous 'disciplined' phase was the window leading up to 2008 Olympics.
