Shocked Shocked Shocked

George! has someone hacked your account?

Are the more effete Admin Boys playing one of their merry japes on you?

Shurely shome mishtake here, Moneypenny.

As far as I can remember See-an Canary was born in Embra. Look at the evidence: he pretends to be a macho man, he wears a wig at work, he reads "dialogue" with an affected lishp and his "colleagues" have been known to greet him with "Daaahhling, you were wonderful".

He's not just a Luvvie...he's the Luvvie's  Luvvie.  warning  warning  warning

I have a leaning towards Alistair Gray... as he said on a badge he wore,
"Yes, Aye, How No?"
Or was that too political? Whistle

Jim, really weird . Just saw Alistair Gray in Byres Road - looked like he was heading for Oran Mhor where he is quite a regular. Good to see he is back oot 'n aboot after his near terminal fall. I also saw your fellow Maryhillite Bob 'Begbie' Carlyle the other day but see him quite a lot as he stays roon the corner. Todays big highlight was at the gym where I was on the treadmill next to lovely Judith Ralston the Reporting Shortbread weather chick.

Anyway regarding rugby. Going to this one (driving via Belfast) and have just had an e mail from XIV Warriors to say on Sunday(day after game) Galway are playing in the All Ireland final of the hurling in Dublin. Therefore roads from Galway City likely to be mighty busy. We may just have to stay on and have a few more pints of the black stuff in O'Connell's Bar. Spring in step after Saturday's run out for the young lads - very impressed. Interesting to see who he puts out after our Friday game v Dragons in Ebww Vale.

Judith is pure MILF. I also wager she is pure filth!

I also like the lassie from the islands but thats mostly because of her uber lovely accent! although I do find it odd that she pronounces Scotland as it is written!

Judith Ralston is the Scottish version of Stiffler's mom (American Pie).

Thanks for the update mucker. Very Happy

We just got back from our 30th anniversary bash...Disneyland Paris would you believe. I was intending to take in the Drags match but apparently we are booked in for a family outing to see Mister Ahmed the gentle dentist. He once said to me, "I read the Koran every day; I find the poetry of it both beautiful and comforting." I found this very humbling but then I don't remember the nuns at St Joseph's primary on the Garscube Road ever suggesting that there might be either beauty or comfort in any religious texts...anywhere...ever.

Anyhoo, the euro cup fixtures announced tomorrow a wit a luck a rip to Exeter in December and another to Scotstoun asap. Fingers Crossed

Goodluck on the new season lads! Nice easy one for you to kick things off Hug The inaugural "former chiefs backroom staff challenge trophy" or some catchier name

How have Warriors been looking in the pre-season? New signings to look out for and places you might still be lacking a bit of depth?

I'd say Warriors fans have a bit of expectation not only about results but also about how you play, hopefully Rennie can continue that. What I've seen of Huw Jones as well he has great potential.

Only played one game (Saturday v Stains) and went down 19-14 after leading for 75 mins. Very much a team of boys v men but wow did they rise to the occasion. Really pleased but think some of the big names may be playing in Wales Friday v Dragons

Marshes - best of luck to your boys too.

The Unsaid Thing about Glasgow (which I will now proceed to say) is that quite a few of our players have had surgeries to correct standing problems and maybe out for quite a while. Jonny Gray, Stuart Hogg, Huw Jones, Rob Harley to name a couple. Nobody can predict what the starting line up is going to be for Galway. A number of other imports played quite late into the Super Rugby season (Masaga, Gibbons, Kebble) and presumably will also be rested.

I think for the Craggy Island Thirds we'll be without: Gray, Hogg, Jones,Harley, Gibbons, Kebble and Seymour and Dancer (after their exertions with the Lions). The starting XV against the Dragoons may well be the starters again in sunny Galway.
I'd like
1. Allan
2. Brown
3. Ragnar
4. Not angel
5. Swinson
6. Vunisa
7. Batman
8. Ashe
9. Aldi Price
10. Rhuaridh
11. Jean Paul
12 Eck Dunbar
13. Grigg
14. Selkirk Massive
15. Rozza.

Oh god I know that feeling! Last two seasons Connacht have barely been able to put out a 23 at the start of the tournament. Lads playing out of position or delving into the academy to find any warm body and make up the numbers! Not sure what the protocol for resting Super Rugby players is, but normally when they joined us they have gone pretty much straight in (although depends on how far their old club will have gone I suppose). Our second choice 10 was still playing provincial rugby in Australia last week for some mad reason instead of joining us for pre-season.

But unusually, aside from that, we have a fairly full deck to start the season. What are your expectations like? whats a good season in this new format? I think I would be very happy with a quarter final berth.

You've Nae chance son. There will be a load of big white Leinstermen's arses in your way in December. You will be back to backing in the South of France and Bonny Glasgae. We'll sent the big white arses up for a shufti at yiz in Round 2 and then your only visit of the season to the RDS in Jan. I believe Exeter is jolly nice in October. The sea is still warm 'neverything

The interesting thing about the old format was that in the play offs it was the same six teams; Ladyboys, Munster, Ulster, Hairsprays, Scaaahlettes and Glasgow. The only other team to break into this cartel, once, was yourselves. Based on that we should both be looking at making the quarter finals.
However, for Glasgow it is difficult to predict;
if Finn Russell continues to improve,
if Jonny Gray takes the next step and becomes more grizzled and nasty,
if the Fagerson brothers become the players they look like being,
if Stuart Hogg continues with his form of the last two seasons,
if Renzo Rennie does what it says on the tin...
We'll be unstoppable.

But as my granny often said, "If your auntie had balls she'd be your uncle."

Marshes laughing Laugh Laugh Laugh clap

Enforcer, I have spent years trying to persuade MrsPip to accompany me on a rugby weekend. I have been softening her up with talk of Exeter's Chrimbo market, which is on on the weekend of the last fixture, and ASBO and his lovely family who have parked their caravan in a lay-by near Cullumpton for some time now. Don't spoil it by parking your Ladyboy's white erses all over it.

Montpelier is lovely in December...... I swear!

Not even Exeter will be in Exeter that weekend. I hope to meet the lovely ASBO there myself the previous week though.

It was a fantastic achievement, but between Connacht, Leicester City and the Chicago Cubs triumphing in 2016, the stars aligned in some mad celestial way that I don't seem them re-aligning in for quite some time! So we need to be realistic about our place in the world and expectations of whats to come. Top three with yourselves and Munster would be fantastic, Ospreys I'd say would fancy it above us, and the Cheetahs are a total wildcard at this point. I think Keane will give us a bit of a boost from the doldrums of last year, and will see where if that's enough.

Glasgow's aspirations for me should be title chasing! Quality wise I'd say you are up there. Leinster and Scarlets will be 2 of the 6, Munster and Glasgow joining them if their respective new coaches are not a total fiasco, and then the rest.

Well you could throw a hat over much of Galway! Naughton's is on shop street towards the river, less than a ten minute walk from Eyre Square. O Connell's in Eyre Square does a great pint as well, a fairly old man traditional pub, and very popular with the home support (15 minute walk from the stadium)! The Huntsman would be heaving on matchday as it is fairly closeby to the Sportsground. How long have you got there?

Warriors usually congregate in An Pucan to worship at the boots of a certain former Warrior. However believe Murty Rabbits is in play this time too. O'Connells's is my favourite for a pint though. Anyway thanks for the recommendation - should be good few hundred coming to your beautiful town.

Ah I'm fairness there is 80,000 in the city, it would be a town in the UK, like I say you could throw a hat over the whole thing, so not too offensive to refer to it as a town!!

Actually if any of you are around until the 3rd, the All Ireland Hurling Final is on and Galway are playing Waterford in it. It should be a mighty game and if they win the town will be hopping!!

1. Allan
2. Brown
3. Ragnar
4. Not angel
5. Swinson
6. Vunisa
7. Batman
8. Ashe
9. Aldi Price
10. Rhuaridh
11. Jean Paul
12 Eck Dunbar
13. Grigg
14. Selkirk Massive
15. Rozza.

JImbo, Brown out for a few months at hooker. Likely James 'His Names on the Shirt' Malcolm will start with Pat MacArthur benching. Really can't see Rennie keeping Matt Fagerson out - he really is that good. Rory Hughes will have to pass HIA protocols to make it. Good if he doea but otherwise Jacko to FB and Finn /Adam Hastings /Pete Horne at 10 . Think Sam Johnson won't be far away from a start as well. Those young guys that impressed on Saturday (inc Paddy Kelly at 13) have thrown a nice dilemma at DR. We still have our Southern Hemisphere signings to arrive as well. Gribbins and Kebble have arrived now (Glasgow posted videos of them arriving at Glasgow airport), although I suspect we won't see them for a few weeks.

We may well see Massaga get a run out at either wing or FB against the Drag Queens this Friday as Nairn and Hughes both got concussed on Saturday. He has been over for a few weeks now and should hopefully be ready.

Ah, I had forgotten about FB's injury.
however, I think Renzo will want to give as many players as possible a run out before the season starts: hence leaving FagersonMk2 out, I also think he is a very special prospect. Ditto Sam Johnson wo may well start at 12 against the Craggies. Could we see a back three of Layla-Jacko-Selkirk Massive?

Laugh

I went to university in Bangor North Wales, that was a city and there was barely enough people in it for a five a side team. And the only reason it could have three surnames would be if they count the Marks and Spencers!

Judith is pure MILF. I also wager she is pure filth!

I also like the lassie from the islands but thats mostly because of her uber lovely accent! although I do find it odd that she pronounces Scotland as it is written!

I think Bundee Aki is out for this game. Unless this is yet another wee tactical prank by those Connacht funsters ? Therefore think Rennie may go for a Johnson / Grigg centre partnership. It may be that Alex Dunbar is still on actual hols as opposed to non playing hols IYKWIM. Think Peter Horne will start at 10 with Finn still rested and Adam Hastings benches. He Hastings is a big lad and could probably do a job at 12/13 if required. Some on here don't seem to rate Peter Horne - they plainly don't see him play very often if at all. Really clever player who despite his relatively small stature fires in the tackles and is a fist class distributor and line breaker.

There's schizoid and then there's just plain showing off.

I think Furra Linee is a very good 12, better than he is at 10. But I think he and Johnson may just be swapping positions throughout the match.

Bundee McAki was in the Irish training camp this week along with Tyler O' Bleyendaal (which some are happy about and some are not), and as far as I'm aware his suspension for sassing a referee has run its course, so he should be free to play. I don't think there are any major injuries, maybe the lads who travelled with Ireland could be held back. I trust you wont tell the Glasgow management this vital bit of intel Fingers Crossed

If you are looking for some encouragement, Connacht were leading Wasps 12-22 with 65 minutes gone this week, and some how lost 40-22. It was a lot of kids playing but good to know Keane is keeping alive the Connacht tradition of losing your head in the last quarter!!

I'll let Bru tell you what his latest transgression is: you can't make this sh*t up, really.

On a side issue; Rozza, Ruaridh or Layla to start at 15 tomorrow?

p.s. The first try v Drag Queens were Jackson hit the line on a fading angle and left the 13 for dead then somehow conjured up the scoring pass having committed the last defender. Very Happy

Also apart from Masaga's 2 monstrous hand offs for Scott Cummings try he (SC) was involved in all 6 tries.   He could be our new stand out player this season I think. Masaga could be our new destroyer on the wing.

Kebble, Brown and Fagerson.

We'll need to wait a little while to see it, but that could be one of the best 3 front row combinations in the league.
