Owen10ozzy kept his foot down and continued his storming run as he almost lapped the rest of the Fantasy League.  Six of his seven remaining picks scored points, four of them in the top four places, with two being the players that contested the playoff for overal victory.  His pick of Rafa Cabrera Bello also shot 64 for the low round of the day too.  AlciG and Super_Realist both had four picks score points while Sand and SirBenson both had three picks scoring points. Davie, Eyetoldyouso, GPB, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, Raycastleunited, SetupDetermines, and TheCleaver all had two picks score points.  WireTapper had one pick score.

Rory McIlroy may have done everything else except play good golf last week but he does get to headline the curtain raiser for the Open at Birkdale.  The field has been strengthened as players try to complete their preparation.  Defending champion Alec Noren is back and he's joined by previous winners Rickie Fowler, Luke Donald, Edoardo Molinari, Martin Kaymer, Graeme McDowell, Gregory Havret, Johan Edfors, and Thomas Bjorn.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Mikko Ilonen shot 65 in the opening round of the Scottish Open to take a two shot lead over six other players.  Five of those six were picks and Rickie Fowler was the most popular of those five as he appeared in the selections of eleven Fantasy Leaguers.  Ian Poulter was the next most popular, he was chosen twice, while Callum Shinkwin, Paul Peterson, and Padraig Harringto rounded out the scoring picks.

GPB, Sand, and SirBenson had two scoring picks.  Fowler was in their selections and their second pick was Peterson, Poulter, and Harrington respectively.  AlciG, Davie, Eyetoldyouso, LadyPutt, Raycastleunited, SetupDetermines, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all had Fowler.  I'm Never Wrong and Owen10ozzy were the final two Fantasy Leaguers to score points through Poulter and Shinkwin respectively.

The cut line fell at -1 and that meant half of the Category A selections from the Fantasy League are no longer in action.  Cut bonuses proved to hard to come by again with just seven being awarded.  GPB earned two cut bonuses and has the most picks left with eight; he has the solo lead moving into the weekend rounds.  The next five Fantasy Leaguers in the standings earned the only other cut bonuses.  Owen10ozzy and Sand both have seven picks left while SirBenson, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all have six.  Super is the only one in the top six not to have earned a cut bonus.  AlciG, Davie, and Eyetoldyouso all have five picks left; AlciG earned the final cut bonus.  I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, and SetupDetermines all have four picks left.  Raycastleunited and WireTapper both have three picks left.

Owen10ozzy kept his foot down and continued his storming run as he almost lapped the rest of the Fantasy League.  Six of his seven remaining picks scored points, four of them in the top four places, with two being the players that contested the playoff for overal victory.  His pick of Rafa Cabrera Bello also shot 64 for the low round of the day too.  AlciG and Super_Realist both had four picks score points while Sand and SirBenson both had three picks scoring points. Davie, Eyetoldyouso, GPB, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, Raycastleunited, SetupDetermines, and TheCleaver all had two picks score points.  WireTapper had one pick score.
