Potential New League

Hey...

I wanted to put forward a suggestion of a league starting up, some JA members have already said they want in so this will already be different to the league that is sort of running but not really at the moment.

I want to create a league where we really have to build our teams, meaning limited money coming in where possible but maintaining the fun involved. I want to keep a limit on tactics, there will be some initial tweaking and discussion but i have a design in my head already and dont want to negotiate the longevity. This will mean that we will be starting with "lesser teams" to build. I want to get as much of a run out of the league as possible if it happens.

If you want in then let me know.

I will be running it myself with help of others of course.

Does this mean that the current league is dead? Thought we were going into season 2, but just waiting until after the minefield game was done.

Well I wanted to do season 2 but im not sure the interest is there now. Whatever we do we need to decide on it but no-one is posting or telling us.

I wanted to continue the league, probably the most ardent supporter of it based upon the team I'd built up in fact, but if a new league then results in fresh blood of 3 or 4 of the Ja guys coming over to take part then I'd certainly support that.

New blood would be good I think

Would like to see the format before I decide whether to join in or not.

Think I'd be after a league that isn't just about building value through lawyers/TM increases, gives more weight to tactics and doesn't involve me having to spend time deleting words just to get the same explanation within a low word limit.

No lawyers, only releases (or a cap where lawyers can't be more than you paid).
More/longer injuries.

I've been pretty vocal about what I think the league should be - the only point I'd like to say is that we agree from the start that it reboots after 2 seasons - or whatever is deemed a sensible amount of time.

I'm in irrespective what rules are decided though

Just saying that it will probably depend on how much time needs to go in. If I am worried about having enough time, then I won't commit and then let you down

I feel like squads are important and I like the idea of putting no lawyers could be interesting so people have to use their squads

First things first, this league is going to be the long game, i dont want to negotiate that ideally. I want it to last more than 3 seasons and I will run it.

One thing that will be for sure, is that not much time will be required each week to play it, i can draw Injuries on the Monday night for example and release them at midnight ready for the Tuesday (subject to those days being agreed)

Saying that, the tactics will be 200 words (this can be discussed but i think this is fair) this is including everything written on the page even substitutions.

We will stick to 4 injuries, that seems to work okay.

Im torn on weather or not to use the suggestion above of no lawyers just releases or maybe do lawyers as 70% value maybe and releases like 50% If we do the purely releases option then we will have to limit it to perhaps 2 a week.

Wins will be given as 500k bonus? Can be negotiated. Ofc late tactics will receive nothing as a rule.

A squad limit will be in place, maybe 25 again like last time but again it can be discussed.

Teams to be decided, could be Championship but personally i would prefer somewhere like Italy, Spain or Germany (below mid table teams ideally).

Players sold to lawyers can't be purchased in the same season.

Voting on matches to be discussed, im open to discussion but we can always keep it the same as last time for quickness to keep people interested.
