Iron Fist

so netflix firing out another marvel series as they close in on forming the defenders.

about 6 episodes into this one so far and im not really sold yet, while daredevil was brilliant and was always going to be tough to match, these do seem to be getting worse. thought luke cage was poor as wel. cant really buy into the main character in this, wont say too much more to avoid spoilers

anybody else been watching this?

I've watch the first series and thought it was just ok. I agree the main character isn't the best, same with Luke Cage.

Since Daredevil and Jessica Jones I feel the villains are also getting worse. Fisk and Killgrave were brilliant but the rest don't feel like a threat to the main heroes.

yeah i totally agree hornblower, both last two marvel series have suffered from this. hopefully fisk will make a reappearance for the defenders series, or at least third series of dare devil. wouldn't mind but sabertooth from x-men first appeared in iron fist, he'd be a much better baddie than a 80 year old women

They don't own the rights to the X-men villains

Though Davos is a great villain in the comics, had probably the best story arc in Iron Fist for a long time.

If Gau ends up as the Crane Mother, she could work out fine as well.

I forced myself in to watching last night. I'd previously watched the first episode when it came out and hated it but with Defenders on the horizon I decided to persist

I think because I was expecting to hate it I have found it ok, even if I think the character himself is a little underwhelming. Up to episode 7 and find all the stuff with the Hand intriguing

Just finished this, (yep bit behind).
Thought season 1 was decent.

Second season didn’t watch all of it.

Watching the defenders.

I thought defenders was OK but never felt like watching the others
