So Jack the Ripper was American......

One thing we do know for sure about Jack the Ripper is that he didn't seem to like women...Or if he did he had a funny way of showing it....  

Never really understood why he is so famous or popular myself........Sadistic serial killers have been pretty plentiful over the years and not many if any have been celebrated like Jack....There have been countless movies about Jacky boy and he has locked horns with Sherlock Holmes and HG Wells in the past....(Murder by decree... is well worth watching)

Seems however that most experts are pretty sure now that it was an American "Dr" Francis Tumblety who was the Ripper...His fascination with the inside workings of the female body seems to have come and gone with his stay in Whitechapel.........The same time these Ladies of the night met their fateful end.

Like Oswald we'll never know for sure...But it does seem likely Britain's most celebrated murderer was from America.........

So you need feel guilty no more..

Certainly seems an interesting character though. A professional "quack" selling medical products....apparently successfully, as he came into a lot of money at some point (and made a point of showing it off).

Blamed his attitude to women (and especially prostitutes) on failed marriage to a "working girl". Also arrested for indecency after being caught in a homosexual act.

Watched a documentary with many of the "Ripper" modern detectives (writers etc)..

They were all pretty much agreed...Probably be on Youtube..

I watched a documentary on Sunday evening, which presented very compelling evidence that the Ripper was a local delivery man (Carman). A Scotland yard detective, as well as a top barrister seemed convinced.

There's a lot of retrospective nooses lined up. Can the historic forensic experts now meet up and actually come down on one guilty guy so that the executioner that must eventually go back in time to deliver future-world justice doesn't hang the wrong guy and therefore commit a future crime in the past....
