6CW Announcement
On Monday 13th June 6CW were notified of legal proceedings started by the commercial sponsors of Wembley Arena SSE Plc. The legal action related to exclusive rights SSE hold for the hosting of 6CW Anarchy and Aftermath events at the Wembley Arena in London.
SSE declined to comment but it is understood the claim against 6CW is for the losses SSE incurred on expected ticket and merchandise sales at the scheduled 13th June show which was replaced without due notice by the Supershow in Manchester and an additional unconfirmed claim for substantial damages.
6CW has today concluded an out of court settlement for an undisclosed figure with SSE Plc and whilst both parties do not wish to discuss the incident any further the following joint statement has been received
'6CW and SSE have reached an agreement for the June 27th 6CW Anarchy show to be held at Wembley Arena as per previous contractual agreements. A mutual decision has been made that following that event 6CW and SSE will end their commercial relationship and as such 6CW will make an announcement in due course as to the venue of future episodes of 6CW Anarchy and Aftermath. 6CW would like to thank SSE for all their support '
** Tickets purchased for 6CW shows scheduled to take place after Night of Glory will be transferable for use at the new venue. Further details will be confirmed over the coming days
