Witcher Empty Witcher

Post by profitius Sat 04 Jun 2016, 1:19 pm

Just playing the witcher 3 and downloaded the second expansion. However it'll be a while before I get around to playing any of the expansions. The game is incredible in scale! In terms of quests, things to do, items to collect and places to discover and the size of the maps. Its the best value for money game I've ever bought.

Theres the odd glitch on the PC version (only after they added an update) but other than that, its very impressive and looks amazing.

Completed the main game, and filled in the map ticking off all the stuff to do, just at the end of the Heart of Stone expansion, and about to start Blood and Wine. Good game and the menu updates have sorted out a lot of my pet gripes about it. Enjoying getting back into it again now.

Too vast for me, would have loved it back when I had a lot of spare time.

It takes a bit of time learning all the different things but you don't have to be good at everything. For instance i don't really bother with some of the things you can do like crafting etc. That helps you progress but I play on an easier level instead.

You can also just play the main quests if you want to finish the game faster. Plus there are signposts all over the maps which you can use to quick travel from one to any other one, after finding them. That saves you traveling across maps all the time.

Btw I see that the games card game, gwent, is being made into an independent game now. That's something I've never played in the witcher. I must try it out.

I know I just can't help myself with that sort of game, try and do most things in it!

Maybe some day.

I really need to get back to this but I have just pre-ordered Skyrim so I know I'll just wait for that

I have this on PC. Landscape and exploring is amazing but the combat is lackluster, in my opinion.

The combat system in 3 is way better than the other two but they could simplify it a lot more
