The 72 Show - Season Finale

In the final episode of The 72 Show for this season, Anthony Kendrick and Nick Davie review the season. The three play-off finals are reviewed, which were won by teams finishing 4th, 6th and 7th. All of the drama including Akinfenwa scoring a penalty which we now know will be his final moment in a Wimbledon shirt.

There have been a number of managerial changes since the season has ended. We look at some of the clubs who have underachieved this season and ask if they can improve next season. Going into the season, Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday were both among the favourites to win their respective divisions but have disappointed. And who could have predicted the incredible seasons that the likes of Northampton, Burton Albion and Brighton have had. (Nick maybe?)

Finally, we discuss The 72 Awards which were voted on using Twitter. There were six categories, for best goal, player, young player, manager, game and finally the biggest overachiever. In all of the awards we have a difference of opinion, but a decision is made using the votes cast on Twitter. We also announce the winner of the competition to predict the play-off winners.
