I think Laura Robson should play on the ITF tour.  She keeps getting drawn against high ranking players.  This year she has played 14 matches on the WTA tour, winning four and losing ten.  In the French Open she is drawn against the 28th seed Petkovic.

Berdych and Tomic off to decent starts winning their first sets 6-3 and Melzer has taken the first set against Bedene. At least weather looks set fair today - well dry at least.

Bedene seals the second set to draw level at 1-1. Tomic now leads Brian Baker by two sets to love and Berdych coasting towards a two sets to love lead.

Looks like a classic case of 1st slam syndrome. Kerber probably needs more time to get used to being one of the real big guns of women's tennis. Fair enough I guess

You have to admire Step's stickability though...he's not the kind of guy you want to be facing in this situation as he does get right in your face and has a strong will to win. The longer this goes on without a break the more the pressure is likely to build for Murray...

This is a v entertaining match - Murray a bit below par but some great all-court tennis from Stepanek.

Been v impressed by Stepanek's serving in this final set - really keeping Murray at bay.

If Murray goes onto win this match he'll be fine physically - its not an exhausting match with lots of
long rallies. However, I'd be v concerned from his point of view about the lapses in concentration
which do not bode well for the latter stages of the tournament.

Really feeling the tension from Murray as he serves to stay in the match!
