You could really tell the haves and have nots with this one.  Rory McIlroy's win meant half the Fantasy League was looking good and the other half wishing what might have been.  Super_Realist had the most picks score points with four but it wasn't enough to match or catch Owen10ozzy who had three picks including one of the runners up.  Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, Pedro, and Raycastleunited also had three picks score points.  Kudos to I'm Never Wrong and Pedro for their high finishes despite not having McIlroy and/or many picks left.  BlueCoverman, Davie, EmmDee57, Hibbz, LL Cool Nay, McLaren, and SetupDetermines all had two picks score; the lack of depth in Blue's squad cost him in the end.  AlciG, Beninho, GolferMartin, LadyPutt, Sand, SirBenson, and TheCleaver all had the one pick score points.

Martin Kaymer shot 65 for the low round of the day; BlueCoverman, GolferMartin, Kwinigolfer, Pedro, SetupDetermines, and SirBenson all selected Kaymer.

The Rory Foundation and Rory McIlroy host the European Tour as it returns to Europe and visits a Ryder Cup host venue for the first time since Ian Woosnam's 2006 team emerged victorius.  Rory is not only the host but the headline player and one of fourteen Irishmen in the field.  Soren Kjeldsen, Super_Realist favourite, is the defending champion having prevailed over Bernd Wiesberger and Eddie Pepperell in a playoff last year.  If Kjeldsen was to defend he would be the first since Colin Montgomerie in 1996-97.  Other former champions in the field include Mikko Ilonen, Jamie Donaldson, Ross Fisher, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington, Thomas Bjorn, Stephen Dodd, Brett Rumford, and Soren Hansen.  Recent winners not in attendance include Paul Casey, Simon Dyson, and Richard Finch.  Lowry won this event as an amateur in his first start on the European Tour; the first since Ben Curtis at the Open in 2003.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Danny Willett brought his major game to the K Club opening with a 65 for the low round of the day and a two shot lead over Rory McIlroy. Rounds of 69 were needed to make the Top Five Low Round scores and six other picks managed such a score. Everyone in the Fantasy League earned points in round one; some more than others. AlciG and BlueCoverman were among the small group who picked Willett, both added another two scoring picks as for the second event in a row they can't be separated. GolferMartin was among another small group that had two picks score but one of his was also Willet. Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, Kwinigolfer, SetupDetermines, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all had two picks score while Davie, EmmDee57, LadyPutt, and Sand tied those with two by virtue of picking Willett. Beninho, I'm Never Wrong, LL Cool Nay, McLaren, Owen10ozzy, Pedro, Raycastleunited, and SirBenson all had one scoring pick.

More the half of the Fantasy League picks packed their clubs and snuck out of the K Club as the cut line fell at two over.  No one managed the full set and outside of Category A it was slim pickings.  Only two cut bonuses were awared in Categories B & C while only one Fantasy Leaguer, Pedro, earned more than one bonus.  Seven picks was the maximum anyone has left and BlueCoverman, Owen10ozzy, and Super_Realist joined Pedro with seven.  Beninho, EmmDee57, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, Raycastleunited, and SetupDetermines all have six picks left; all earned a bonus.  AlciG, Eyetoldyouso, and GolferMartin all have five picks left, GolferMartin was the only one of the three not to earn a bonus.  Davie, Hibbz, LL Cool Nay, SirBenson, and TheCleaver all have just four picks left, LL Cool Nay and TheCleaver were the only two to earn a bonus from this group.  I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, and Sand all have three picks left and McLaren earned a bonus from his three.

Two picks shot 66 to tie for the low round of the day; Russell Knox earned points for I'm Never Wrong and Owen10ozzy while Marc Warren earned points for LadyPutt.

The delayed dozen finished their third round on Sunday but nothing really changed. The low round score of 68 was set by Gregory Bourdy and Romain Wattel on Saturday and none of those left on the course were able to match or beat it. The Top 10 Low Round scores mark was 70 and those that were already at that mark stayed there and no one else could get there. Six picks shot 70 or lower and a number of Fantasy Leaguers had two of those picks. Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, Owen10ozzy, and Raycastleunited all had two picks score. AlciG, Beninho, BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, LadyPutt, LL Cool Nay, Pedro, SetupDetermines, and Super_Realist all had one pick score.

You could really tell the haves and have nots with this one. Rory McIlroy's win meant half the Fantasy League was looking good and the other half wishing what might have been. Super_Realist had the most picks score points with four but it wasn't enough to match or catch Owen10ozzy who had three picks including one of the runners up. Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, Pedro, and Raycastleunited also had three picks score points. Kudos to I'm Never Wrong and Pedro for their high finishes despite not having McIlroy and/or many picks left. BlueCoverman, Davie, EmmDee57, Hibbz, LL Cool Nay, McLaren, and SetupDetermines all had two picks score; the lack of depth in Blue's squad cost him in the end. AlciG, Beninho, GolferMartin, LadyPutt, Sand, SirBenson, and TheCleaver all had the one pick score points.

Martin Kaymer shot 65 for the low round of the day; BlueCoverman, GolferMartin, Kwinigolfer, Pedro, SetupDetermines, and SirBenson all selected Kaymer.
