Thought I'd create a thread for those who are interested in the Indy wrestling fed Ring of Honor to discuss or post any news referring to the company.

Probably won't be too busy on here but just thought i'd post a link to the ROH website to start some discussion.

It's been announced that the ROH Tag Titles will be defended at Best In The World 2011 by TWGTT against The Briscoes, The All Night Express AND The Kings of Wrestling in a Fatal Four Way Elimination match. That will be Tag Team wrestling at its finest.

I am also incredibly looking forward to the World Title bout between Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards. I can see Richard's stealing this one.

The Final Farewell
Lenny Leonard introduced the first ever ring announcer in the ECW Arena, Bob Artese who says that it’s a pleasure to be here, but a bigger name than him to ECW is Joey Styles. As Styles makes his entrance the fans chant “Oh My God”, before Styles gets in the ring and says “Alright, Alright” before letting out a huge “OH MY GAAAAAAAAWD” that nearly took his voice with it and drew the crowd to a huge applause. Joey said that he wants to thank Gabe Sapolsky for allowing him to be here and that being here means more than being at Madison Square Garden or WrestleMania, because right here was where Joey Styles was created before looking towards the Eagle’s Nest area. Styles says that this is where he spent so much of his life and introduces Pitbull Gary Wolfe, followed by JT Smith and then Tod Gordon to a huge surprise. Tod got on the mic and said that this building was a great arena, however everyone told him it was a toilet, but he made a crappy toilet a home and is proud of what they’ve done for 20 years. DJ Hyde comes out to interrupt with CZW guys and says that this arena is not ECW’s building anymore because CZW took it over and have been more extreme than the has-beens of ECW, seeing as they ran more shows and are still in business and if anyone is to close the arena it’s going to be CZW not ECW. The CZW guys surround the ring, however Balls Mahoney’s music hits and he clears the ring before being outnumbered. New Jack’s music hits and the place goes crazy. Justin Credible then comes out, however turns on ECW and lays out New Jack. The lights go out and come back on and Sabu is in the ring and a match to close out the arena takes place.

Closing Segment
Joey Styles gets in the ring and says that he can’t think of a better way to close out the show than…..however Sabu asks for the microphone as fans start chanting “Holy Poopie”. Sabu mulls over what he’s going to say, but Sami Callihan runs out from the back and nailsSabu from behind, then begins assaulting him with the bottle. Sabu is a bloody messas Callihan says this is the alarm closing the book on the Arena. He’s sick of the funerals, the Hardcore Homecomings, and wants to know how many reunions we’re going to have before this thing finally dies. This ain’t the era of extreme anymore because over the last few years, this has become his ring. He looks at Sabu and says “Hey, you” before stomping on his face. He says these are his fans and his building and if anyone’s going to end the era of extreme, it’s going to be him. He says to look at Sabu – a beaten, bloodied, broken corpse, just like every other extreme legend out there who won’t go away. If anyone ends the era of extreme, it’s going to be him, and if anyone thinks they can stop Sami Callihan, he dares them to try. AR Fox runs out and attacks Callihan, but Pinkie Sanchez comes out and goes after Fox and gives him a spike DDT. Callihan says one more thing before he goes: to all the DUFs out there, they’re cool by him and if they’re not, they should jump on the bandwagon and be like him. To all the people who have supported him, bought his merch, and helped him get married this year, he wants to tell them from the bottom of his heart to (explicit act deleted). The extreme era has finally died and been put out of its misery by the Death Machine, and he tells them to hit the lights. The lights do indeed go out and Callihan’s music plays, and when they come back up the ring is empty except for a destroyed table and a chair laying in the middle of the ring.

CZW- ECW Arena Farewell Event results

Opening Segment
Greg Excellent, Maven Bentley and Roger Argitiani came out to open the show. Bentley commented on the arena as fans chanted “EC-Dub” and “CZ-Dub”. Bentley said that this arena has been home for years and they want to thank people for their support. Roger then thanked various people for their support, the staff in the concession stands and then asked that the locker room comes out to the ring, before stating that he wants to thank everyone who was here and who has gone and someday they might just be back here. Roger said that it was a pleasure to work with Maven Bentley before asking DJ Hyde to come out, who didn’t, before responding and telling Hyde to go “F*** himself” and told everyone to enjoy the show. Bentley noted that they were asked to take down the iconic Hall of Fame banners, however they want Trent Acid, JC Bailey, Chris Cash and others that have passed to know that they are missed and he’s sure they’re watching the ECW Arena farewell tonight amongst us and opened a bottle of champagne, spraying it in their honor. Excellent then reminded everyone that he’s in charge and he’s giving people contracts today, as he just doesn’t care. Excellent then introduced CZW’s old photographer Whacks for a warm-up match for DJ Hyde, who is scheduled to face John Zandig in the main event.

In Ring Segment
Danny Havoc came out and said he’s only here because he has unfinished business with Drew Gulak and said that this is Greg Excellent’s show tonight and Excellent wants it to be a good one. Havoc said that he ran into a few people in the bar and invited them to join him in the ring to kick Gulak’s ass, as Homicide, Nick Berk, Adam Flash, Messiah, Nate Webb and The Blue Meanie came out. Gulak then came out and asked why he has to sit in the back and waste his time watching this, as fans chanted “We Want Nick Gage”. Gulak said that Gage can’t be here as he robbed a bank and said that Havoc had nothing better to do than bring out relics in front of his face and said if Havoc hits him he’ll be fined again, before making a joke about Havoc’s wife, resulting in a brawl. Matt Tremont then hit the ring and the match was finally underway.

Philadelphia Street Fight
Eddie Kingston defeated Joker. Following the match, Kingston got on the mic and said that this is the last CZW event in the building and said that while Eddie Moore was born in New York City, Eddie Kingston was born because of the ECW Arena and said that a lot of times he doesn’t like or care for the fans, but without this place, he was nothing. Kingston said that when he is dying, he doesn’t want to be taken to the hospital, but instead to the ECW Arena, because this is where he was born. Fans started chanting “EC-Dub”, “CZ-Dub” and “Thank You Kingston” as he made his way to the back.

Past And Present Ultraviolent Icon Rules Death Match
DJ Hyde defeated John Zandig. Following the match, Hyde celebrated on the top rope however Zandig nailed him from behind with a barbed wire chair and put him through a pane of glass sitting on top of chairs and then clotheslined the referee. Zandig took the mic and said that he done that to the referee because he can and it felt good, before putting over Nick Gage, Wifebeater, Nick Mondo and countless others who couldn’t be here tonight. Zandig said that it’s not about the building, but instead about the young guys who started in the company and worked their ass off every time and then apologized to his daughter that he didn’t win tonight. Zandig said that tonight may be his last match and said that because it was the last ECW Arena event, he wanted to be here for the fans and the boys in the back. Zandig then thanked JC Bailey, Larry Sweeney, Trent Acid, Chris Cash and anyone else who he is forgetting for making his life fun on the road before telling DJ Hyde that he might be the owner of this company, but he’ll never be what CZW is to the rest of the roster.

Nice, solid opening. Both sides worked hard and it was very appreciated. ** 1/2

2. Jimmy Susumu def. BxB Hulk via Mugen

Great Dragon Gate showcase that everyone enjoyed. A better showing for Hulk than the Low Ki match Friday. ***

Davey Richards came out to reiterate what Excalibur announced earlier, adding ho he idolized the British Bulldogs growing up and was proud to have stolen the show last night against the son of the one of the Bulldogs.

3. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) def. Davey Richards and Harry Smith via More Bang For Your Buck on Davey

Another great match with everyone working hard. Harry looked pretty darn good in the match, earning "Please Come Back!" chants after the match. Popular spot was Harry holding Nick up for a long delayed suplex up to the fan count of 34. *** 1/2

4. Willie Mack def. Naruki Doi via Fireman's Carry Into Sit-out Powerbomb

A potential star-making match and performance for Willie, who has been working up the ladder of established wrestlers over the past half-year. Doi did an excellent job making him look good and reactin to the crowd chants. *** 1/2

5. B-Boy, Candice LeRae, Cedric Alexander, and Mascarita Dorada def. DEMUS 316, Joey Ryan, Peter Avalon, and Ray Rosas via Candice Moonsault on Peter

The really good multi-person match involving Candice that we've come to expect and love, only throwing in the minis from last night's show. Dorada, once again, was the star with his Tilt-A-Whirl moves and lucha dives. He earned "Please Come Back" chants after the match. *** 1/2

Intermission ran quicker and seemingly on schedule than previous PWG shows because of how fast they needed to get through everything before the Royal Rumble.

6. RockNES Monsters (Johnny Goodtime and Johnny Yuma) def. Spiked Mohicans (CIMA and Ricochet) via Goodtime Top-Rope DVD Yuma onto Ricochet

A potential star-making match and performance for the Monsters, who like Willie have been working up the ladder. CIMA and Ricochet more than succeeded in getting them over while all four put forth an excellent match from start to finish. ****

7. Masaaki Mochizuki def. Roderick Strong via Sankakugeri to the Face

There was not much reaction to Mochi at the start and most of the fans were behind Roderick until they saw for themselves that Mochi was much more of a serious contender and threat than Jake Manning was last night. Mochi kicked Roderick all over and it got people to cringe with how stiff they were. Lack of real crowd heat did hamper an otherwise great match. ***

8. El Generico, Masato Yoshino, and PAC def. Akira Tozawa, Kevin Steen, and Super Dragon via PAC Corkscrew Shooting Star Press on Tozawa

Not since the first Dragon Gate in LA show have Southern California fans seen anything that closely resembled the incredible Dragon Gate trios matches and this was outstanding from beginning to end. Fast and furious that had the fans eating it up and wanting more. **** 1/2

Post-match had Dragon wanting a handshake with Generico much to Steen's dislike. Dragon shook hands with PAC and Yoshino and was about to leave when Generico stopped him. They were about to shake when Steen got hold of the PWG Championship. Generico ultimately hit the ring instead and demanded Steen put the belt down, who instead drapped it over Generico's shoulder and flipped him off before bowing to PAC and Yoshino. Dragon stormed off at being blown off by Generico, so there's a great storyline in the works. Fans chanted "Please Come Back!" to Tozawa, who they just love to death.

The event was recorded and apparently broadcasted via iPPV. Not sure how it came across on video but the arena looked barely filled as there were about 1,000 fans in the Smart Araneta Coliseum that has a seating capacity of about 15,000. Considering that they didn't promote on TV until about two weeks before the event, I'd say they were lucky to even get a thousand people to show up. Bell time was supposed to be at 7:00 but they started at 8:30. Not sure if this is something that is done in most non-WWE live events or a lack of professionalism on their part.

Colt Cabana came down the ramp alongside a couple of beautiful ring girls to open the event. He mentioned how he would be the ring announcer for the big show that is headlined by the crowning of the first ever WWFX Champion.

1. Jimmy Yang defeated Billy Gunn. Gunn came out first and looked like he was in good shape. Yang is still using his Asian redneck gimmick. The match lasted about five minutes and was your basic big man vs. little man match. Gunn had offense for most of the match and used slow, deliberate moves while Yang avoided corner splashes and used his speed to get some offense in. The match ended with Yang going for his moonsault onto a standing Gunn finisher but Gunn didn't turn around fast enough to catch him and make it look like a splash. Instead, it looked like Yang hit a moonsault into a kick to the back of the head (which looked pretty stiff) and got the pin.

Hurricane was looking like he was a little bit on the heavy side. He was accompanied by a fan who won some Facebook contest. Daivari spent most of the first third of the match stalling by walking out of the ring and letting the ref count. There was a spot where he shoved referee Rudy Charles, Charles shoved back, took his shirt of and began wrestling Daivari while Hurricane wore his referee shirt. After about a minute of Charles vs. Daivari, Hurricane took off the shirt and gave it back to Charles. While the ref was putting his shirt back on, Daivari gave Hurricane a low blow. He used rest holds for the next few minutes. Match ended with Hurricane hitting his Hurrichokeslam and pinning Daivari.

Colt Cabana introduced another fan who won a Facebook contest to become a guest ring announcer but Colt still did the actual announcements. The kid was heavily booed as he walked down the ramp.

3. Melina defeated Jillian Hall. Jillian came out and started singing Hit Me Baby One More Time. Melina interrupted her to the delight of the crowd. Both women hit all their signature spots but the crowd died a little for this match. Melina pinned Jillian after a corner counter into her Sunset Flip Powerbomb finisher.

The fan walked back in the ring with two drinks in hand. The cans looked generic but they were saying it was beer. Luke Gallows came out and cut a short spiel on how Melina was weak for needing alcohol to get people to like her. Before he could physically harm her, Rhino ran down the ring to the chants of "Gore!"

4. Rhino defeated Luke Gallows. The match wasn't anything special. Both men seemed to try their best but they had trouble keeping the fans interested for most of the match, save for a few spots. The crowd chanted "CM Punk" whenever Gallows threw up the X sign with his hands. Gallows tried to use the steel chair Cabana was sitting on to get the advantage but Melina came out and distracted him. He turned around to get hit with a Gore and Rhino scored the victory.

5. Carlito defeated Snitsky. After the intermission, they introduced Snitsky, who came out to some horrible music and lights that could cause an epileptic seizure. He was wearing a flannel shirt and carried a baby doll, which he asked one of the ring girls to take care of. Carlito came out to a pretty big pop. I found it amusing that spent a sequence in the area with the ring girls just so they can put their hands on them. Snitsky even mentioned how the baby liked to be breastfed. They spent 85% of the match brawling in the crowd, which was fun to experience if you're up close. If you were on a different side of the arena, you wouldn't have appreciated it. About a fifth of the crowd turned their attention to the ring girls and Colt Cabana while this was happening. The match ended soon after they got back to the ring when Carlito spat the apple at Snitsky, which is apparently enough for the three count. Snitsky didn't even sell it like he was stunned and Carlito rolled him up. He sold it like he was kicked in the face.

6. MVP defeated Chris Masters. Chris Masters initially got a pop but when he began to play his heel character up, the crowd chose not to react to him rather than boo him. MVP came out to a big pop. Not much to say about the match. It was well wrestled enough that each wrestler got his spots in and the psychology was sound but nothing notable really happened. MVP won after he hit the Drive-By Kick.

7. John Hennigan (a/k/a John Morrison) defeated Shelton Benjamin to win the WWFX Title. Benjamin came out to a mixed reaction. I guess people didn't like hearing him cuss during the press conference. Hennigan came out to a pretty good pop. Some chain grappling was used to start. Benjamin tried to get a fan ejected out of the arena to draw some heat. The crowd chanted "Morrison" whenever rest holds were being applied. After a few minutes of really solid wrestling, they did a ref bump right before Hennigan hit his Flying Chuck kick.

The crowd counted up to three but the ref was down. Benjamin hit Paydirt, crowd counted up to three, ref still down. Benjamin grabbed the title and smashed Hennigan with it. Someone who looked like he was either another lucky fan or just some random schmuck ran in with a referee shirt. He counted two, which led to a frustrated Benjamin to knocking the new referee out. Hennigan was up, hit a Tilt-A-Whirl into a Russian Leg Sweep and followed up with Starship Pain to win the WWFX Title.

Confetti cannons fired in the corners while Hennigan grabbed the title. All the faces came out, except for Billy Gunn. Hennigan and Melina hugged in the ring and then all the faces began to slap hands with the fans. Cabana said fans could buy merch and ask for autographs near one of the entrances and then thanked everyone for coming.

Notes: It was a decent show but I feel like some parts were a little bland. It could be some wrestlers going through the motions because they feel that Manila, Philippines doesn't experience live wrestling annually so they can get away with phoning it in. Hard to make a list of best pops and heat because the fans were respectful of both competitors in the ring for the most part.

Hennigan might have gotten the biggest pop for Starship Pain while Daivari was the only heel who received little love from the fans. Best moment of the night for me was right after Colt closed the show and went around ringside. I asked for a picture with him and he complimented by Bryan Danielson shirt which I bought from ROH right before he went to the WWE. All in all, a pretty good way to spend a night if you love watching wrestling and you miss seeing these guys on TV.

The story of Richards & Edwards is well-known; their trilogy of matches is a modern classic as they’ve battled over both the TV Title & World Title with Richards winning the most recent bout at “Final Battle 2011”. There’s been tension, dissension, and distrust, but at the end of that last clash they shook hand and embraced like the brothers they have been more so many years.

On the other hand, Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole have a much shorter history as Future Shock, one not filled with the great successes of The American Wolves, and while they have bonded over their time as a team, their relationship was nowhere near as strong as that of The Wolves. So when Kyle began gravitating more towards Davey Richards as a training partner, when he elected to shine a spotlight on Edwards’ deception in the Dan Severn situation, it illuminated an aspect of the Richards/O’Reilly relationship thus far unseen. Kyle’s bond with Davey as both friend & training partner was obviously stronger than his relationship with Cole and as such, it seemed that O’Reilly was also receiving a share of Davey’s spotlight, leaving his Future Shock partner in the shadows.

So between Davey & Kyle teaming at “ROH Underground” in Richmond to earn a shot at the ROH World Tag Titles, uniting on “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV, and battling The Briscoes at “Rise & Prove” in Cincinnati, it certainly appeared that O’Reilly had left Future Shock in his past, and Adam Cole in his rearview mirror.

In the meantime, Cole didn’t just sit on his laurels, waiting for something to happen, rather he stepped up to the plate at “The Homecoming 2012” against Roderick Strong, taking Eddie’s place in a No DQ match AFTER he already fought Haas & Benjamin earlier in the night. He lost, but a standing ovation from the fans showcased just how hard he fought. The next night, while Team Richards fought over a title shot, Cole took on Kevin Steen, again in a losing effort, but the involvement of Edwards in both bouts showcased a growing bond of respect between the two men. That bond came to a head on “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV when Edwards officially offered Cole a partnership with someone who actually respected him and wasn’t just killing time, waiting to become an American Wolf with Davey (to paraphrase Eddie). That’s what brought us here to “Young Wolves Rising” as Cole & O’Reilly team with Edwards & Richards respectively to prove themselves deserving of that top tier slot. Eddie & Davey have done this dance many times over; they know each other as well as anybody and a battle between the two of them can go either way. Adam & Kyle are the x-factors in this bout and the weight of the world is on their shoulders in NYC…as both men intimated in their respective blogs, this is their opportunity to shine, to prove themselves, and rise to the top…

Jay & Mark Briscoe defend against The Young Bucks

Matt & Nick Jackson have been a pair of disrespectful “superstars” since the day they returned to Ring of Honor last summer. Whether it be in their total disregard for the Code of Honor, the way they reportedly carry themselves around the rest of the wrestlers in the locker room, or their seeming desire to hurt opponents (as evidenced at “Final Battle 2011” with Rhett Titus), they haven’t made any friends in the last few months. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear much will change because, in spite of their attitudes & actions, they have been extremely successful. It’s been victory after victory culminating in that “FB ‘11” Gauntlet Match where they won this Tag Team Title opportunity and put Rhett Titus on the shelf.

The Briscoes have been equally as successful in recent months, capturing the ROH World Tag Titles for the 7th time at “Final Battle 2011” from Haas & Benjamin, and completely flipping how the fans received them in the process. 6 months earlier Dem Boys were hated men, that night they were the heroes of the day, and while they appreciate it, Jay & Mark Briscoe could likely care less either way. What they do care about is representing ROH to the fullest as two of the few men that have been here since day one, and they care about winning, which is something they have done in spades. Since winning the belts they have beaten both Coleman & Alexander as well as Richards & O’Reilly, and have had to deal with Haas & Benjamin nipping at their heels as well. The main defeat the Briscoes have tasted was against Team CHIKARA in a Proving Ground match, and the winner of this bout will likely be facing Jigsaw & Hallowicked at “Unity” in April.

So will it be Dem Boys, Sandy Fork’s Own Briscoes who celebrate the anniversary of the company they helped build? Or will it be The Young Bucks, team Hollywood, who add yet another reason to gloat to their resume?

Jay Lethal defends against "The Dominant Male" Tommaso Ciampa w/ The Embassy LTD

New York City has been good to Jay Lethal since his homecoming to Ring of Honor at “Best in the World 2011”. In his return bout he bested Mike Bennett, went on to capture the ROH World TV Title from El Generico in Chicago, and then beat both Generico & Bennett at “Final Battle 2011” last time in New York to retain the championship. He stepped up his game in two ROH World Title bouts against Davey Richards, both marred by outside interference from the House of Truth, and many feel he would have claimed the title if not for those distractions. Now he steps into the ring with the only man who has actually defeated him in a Proving Ground match, Tommaso Ciampa. Sure Roderick Strong went the distance with Lethal, but Ciampa is the only man to actually pin Lethal in the Proving Ground.

One has to wonder what sort of psychological advantage that victory, along with Ciampa’s tremendous undefeated streak since his ROH debut over a year ago, can offer to The Embassy Ltd. Ciampa has, at first quietly and now very vocally, cemented himself as a threat to every individual on the ROH roster, and every championship. This is the culmination of his winning streak thus far, and it is an almost certainty that Ciampa & The Embassy want nothing more than for “The Dominant Male” to run over Lethal, claim the TV Title as his own, and then proceed to do the same to Davey Richards or whomever the ROH World Champion may be. Will Lethal be the man to end Tommaso’s streak or, once again, end up just another victim of Project Ciampa?

Jimmy Jacobs takes on "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen

The story that brought us here is filled with violence, blood, and broken dreams. Suffice to say that Jimmy Jacobs, since returning to the fold at “Supercard of Honor VI”, stood at the side of Steve Corino throughout his rehabilitation process as his sponsor and, when necessary, fought beside him, both physically and in spirit, against the likes of Mike Bennett, Michael Elgin, El Generico, and yes, Kevin Steen. As one of, if not the, most evil man in ROH’s ten-year history, Jimmy Jacobs sees a great deal of his past in Kevin Steen’s eyes.

As the leader of The Age of The Fall, Jacobs spilled blood at levels possibly unparalleled in ROH and committed atrocities involving barbwire, hanging, and railroad spikes without getting into the gory details. He put the love of his life at risk without a second though, and was even willing to assault her himself when she turned away from him. When he was, quite literally, thrown out the front door several years ago, ROH breathed a collective sigh of relief, but held our breaths once more when he came back. Thankfully the Jacobs we have seen in the ensuing months has not been that same man…but that could all change Sunday.

Kevin Steen brought out the evil in Steve Corino at “Final Battle 2011” and quite possibly fed off it, fueling his own depraved ambitions of blood and gore, as he laid waste to Corino, Jacobs, nearly Jim Cornette, and finally El Generico, earning his reinstatement to ROH in the process. Steen’s reign of terror is in its infancy and Jacobs is now taking it on his shoulders to accomplish what Corino did not. What happens if & when evil meets evil?

The Amazing Red & "Technical Lightning" TJ Perkins vs. The House of Truth ("Unbreakable" Michael Elgin & Roderick Strong) w/ Truth Martini

The Amazing Red was one of the innovators of aerial combat in the early days of ROH, competing in the first official match in history against Jay Briscoe, and going on to reign as Tag Team Champion alongside AJ Styles. A series of injuries kept him out of competition for quite some time, and it has been many years since we have seen Red inside the ROH ring, so it is with great excitement that we welcome back one of our own for the “10th Anniversary Event”! With TJ Perkins as his partner, it’s the innovators of two ROH eras coming together, but they are up against stiff competition in The House of Truth. Strong & Elgin are both poised to receive title shots (Roderick at the TV, Elgin at the World) and need, crave, demand victory here as they wait for their opportunities. There’s nothing personal wrapped up here, nothing at stake save bragging rights, and the desire of both teams to steal the show. What a triumph it would be for Red to return to his roots for the first time in 8 years and take home a victory alongside TJ! What a triumph it would be for Strong & Elgin to once again make the Hammerstein HoT territory as they did at “Final Battle 2011” when Roddy beat Hero & Elgin beat Perkins!

“Glory By Honor X” Tag Team Rematch
Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) vs. The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King)

WGTT have become jerks in recent months, to put it kindly, and have decided that a good chair across the skull as just as productive as a headlock, and that paying fines is well worth it if it sends a right (or wrong depending on your position) message. Since losing the ROH Tag Titles to The Briscoes, Haas & Benjamin’s mean streak has come out in full force and they have basically thrown any regard for the rules out the window, caring less if the match ends in a DQ.

ANX, as a duo, have been on the shelf since “Final Battle 2011” when The Young Bucks took advantage of Titus’ already bum knee and delivered quite a brutal assault, earning a Tag Title shot in the process, and forcing Titus to take time off to get surgery. In the interim, King has gone it solo to mixed success, but itching for Titus’ return and a chance to not only get revenge on The Bucks, but get that Tag Title shot they earned by beating WGTT on The Proving Ground. Before that can happen though, ANX must get past WGTT in this bout. Titus knee will, obviously, be a question of if he came back to soon and one would suspect WGTT to go straight for it, but given the states of mind of both teams, this could prove to just be a fight of four angry men looking to lay a beating on each other.

"The Notorious 187" Homicide vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett w/ Brutal Bob & Maria Kanellis

Announced recently, the former ROH World Champion “The Notorious 187” Homicide has signed on to come back home and knock some respect into “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett after his comments regarding New York, ROH, and the men who carried it on their backs over the years. Bennett fancies himself ROH’s only true superstar, Homicide, on the other hand, fancies ROH meaning “Ring of Homicide” and aims to show Bennett just what that interpretation means firsthand. Maria & Brutal Bob better watch out because it doesn’t take much to set Homicide off and when that happens, no one is safe.

Steve Corino is also scheduled to appear at the event but in what fashion only he knows right now. Perhaps it will be to join the commentary team, rehashing what he did at the very first event ten years ago. We will have to wait and see how “The King of Old School”, fresh off a trip to Japan, impacts the “10th Anniversary Event”.

ROH 10th Anniversary Results

Your commentary team is Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness. They got a huge ovation. The crowd chanted for Nigel and then for Kevin Kelly.

The crowd then chanted for Cary Silkin.

They went live on the air. Nigel and Kelly welcomed everyone. Nigel said that ten years ago, ROH was formed to show that pro wrestling wasn't dead. He said that ten years later, ROH is alive and kicking and so is pro wrestling. He said that is thanks to everyone who is in ROH, everyone who helped build the company and all the fans of ROH.

They sent it to a pre-taped promo from the All Night Express.

Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin vs. The All Night Express.

All Night Express have new outfits. They went face to face and argued with the former champs before the bell.

Benjamin and Rhett Titus opened up. Titus worked him over with hard chops in the corner and drilled him with a running clothesline in the corner. He followed up with a running bulldog and brought him into the Express' corner. Kenny King worked over Benjamin and worked him over on the mat. Benjamin fought to his feet and they went back and forth. Benjamin cut him off with a kick to the gut. He and Haas began working over King in the corner. Haas mocked the crowd, which was all over him.

Haas whipped King into the ropes but King ducked a big boot and nailed a dropkick. The Express went for a double team but Haas avoided it. He tossed King to the floor but was caught by Titus with a neckbreaker. Benjamin hit the scene but the Express tossed them to the floor and hit a double flip dive out of the ring to the floor.

Back in the ring, Haas covered up as Titus worked him over. The referee held Titus back. Haas shoved King, and the referee stopped King from getting in the ring. That allowed Benjamin to attack Titus' bad knee from behind. Haas and Benjamin began taking turns working over Titus' knee. Haas brought him into the corner and tied his leg in the ropes, then charged and drilled it with a knee. Benjamin brought him over to the ringpost and locked in a figure four on the rail. King tried to help but was cut off by Haas and thrown out hard to the floor.

Back in the ring, Titus tried to make the tag but was cut off by Benjamin and was caught in a leg submission. He tried to roll over and pin Benjamin while trapped in it to no avail. Titus fought him off but was cut off. Haas tagged in and continued working him over. Haas finally missed a punch and King made the hot tag. King wet nuts with offense, allowing Titus to nail an enziguri to Benjamin.

King locked in a one legged crab on Haas but Benjamin attacked. King was sent into the corner but came off with a moonsault for a two. The Express double teamed him with dropkicks. Titus covered Benjamin for a two count. Haas hit the scene but was nailed a kick. He came back with a big boot and a big German suplex.

King tagged in but was caught with a Haas inverted atomic drop and a big boot by Benjamin for a two count. The crowd tried to rally the Express as Rhett fired up with a series of punches and worked over Haas. He nailed a clothesline that sent them both over the top to the floor. Benjamin and King went into a series of near fall reversals until King finally caught Benjamin and scored the pin.

Really, really strong opener. They had some great back and forth action and Benjamin doing what I believe may have been his first pinfall loss in ROH was a real shock to the audience. Haas and Benjamin were absolutely great as heels. Great kickoff.

Mike Bennett (with Bob Evans & Maria Kanellis) vs. Homicide

The crowd was all over Bennett when he came out, chanting CM Punk at Kanellis. Bennett said they are talking about the Best in the World and said he was going to do to Homicide what he should do the entire city, take a big old crap on it. Homicide hit the ring and attacked Bennett. Homicie was wearing his outfit from the first-ever ROH show when he was one half of the Natural Born Sinners. No rubber chicken though!

They rang the bell and Homicide worked Bennett over, beating the hell out of him all over the outside, running him into the rail. Bennett started making a comeback but Homicide tossed him to the floor. He went for the tope con hilo to the outside but Evans pulled Bennett out of the way and nailed Homicide. Bennett worked over Homicide and tossed him back into the ring. He worked over Homicide with a series of rights and suplexed him over for a two count.

He whipped Homicide into the corner and clotheslined him then dropkicked him for a near fall. He whipped Homicide into the ropes but put his head down and Homicide kicked him. Homicide rebounded off the ropes but was caught with a spinebuster. He ripped a Yankees shirt off of Homicide and wiped his rear with it. That fired up Homicide who nailed an Ace Crusher. They fought to their feet and battled back and forth. Homicide nailed him with a powerbomb, then locked on an STF. Shout out to Samoa Joe! Homicide led the move go and went after Bob Evans.

Bennett tried to charge him but was nailed with a back elbow. He went to the top but was cut off by Bennett. Bennett went for a superplex but Homicide cut him off and teased a Pepsi Plunge off the top. Bennett backdropped him into the ring. Homicide cut off Bennett and nailed a neckbreaker. He called for the GTS but Maria got on the ropes. Bennett slipped out and charged. Homicide moved and Maria was almost nailed. Homicide grabbed Bennett and nailed the GTS. He started screaming at Maria and made the CM Punk straightedge symbol.

Bennett grabbed Homicide from behind and rolled him up, hooking the tights for the pin.

Homicide immediately laid out Bennett and then Bob Evans. He went after Maria, who was in the ring but they pulled her out of the ring.

Homicide took the mic and put over the fans and the promotion afterward, ripping on Boston in the process.

A solid match. I loved the old school Homicide look.

CHIKARA Grand champion Eddie Kingston was introduced. Kevin Kelly said that ROH will be cross-promoting events across the country. He said the first would be 4/28 in Chicago with CHIKARA. Kingston said that he was happy to be here and happy to be in NYC. He said that he was most excited to see ROH champion Davey Richards. He said that he had an idea. Richards' music played but then changed and out came Kevin Steen, carrying a tennis racquet and eating a banana.

Steen came that it was really good to see Kingson, but he was wondering what exactly happened. He asked Kingston when he became such a bitch. He said that he heard Kingston was talking about how great it was to be here. He says that Kingston said it was great to be back, but he used to be here until Jim Cornette came and took over and you disappeared. He said that he thinks that's not what Kingston thinks inside. He said that he knows people would like to see them fight but he also thinks a lot of people would want to see them tear down the business together. He said they could destroy CHIKARA and ROH and rebuild it. Kingston said that CHIKARA was his home and where he was born and where he was die. He said that teaming with Steen would be cool but he's not about destroying anything. Steen said ROH was cool until Cornette took over but Steen is taking care of that. He said that if he loves CHIKARA that's fine but it's a bullsh** Mickey Mouse promotion. Kingston told Kelly to get out of the ring. He said that he lost his wife and his kids for CHIKARA and he'll live and die for CHIKARA and he would "f***ing kill Steen" for running his mouth. It was an awesome promo. Steen backed off and said he didn't come to fight but plans change. They brawled. A ton of ROH officials and ring crew pulled them apart. Kingston was pulled from the ring and the CHIKARA belt was left in the ring with Steen. Steen teased pulling his Winkle out and pissing on the belt, which brought CHIKARA stars the Colony out. They worked over Steen and threw him out of the ring. Red Ant then hit a big dive onto everyone on the floor. A super hot angle and segment.

The House of Truth (Roderick Strong & Michael Elgin with Truth Martini) vs. The Amazing Red & TJ Perkins

Big pop for the return of Red. The crowd chanted "House of Glory" (Red's school) and "F*** TNA." Perkins and Elgin started off. They went back and forth. Red tagged in and was sent into the corner. Red went for a waistlock but was unable to move the big man. Red was able to use a dropkick to take Elgin to his knees and work him over. Strong hit the scene but was hit with ssome offense sending him to the floor with a flying head scissors. Red and Perkins hit a double springboard bodypress.

It settled down to Elgin and Perkins. Perkins tried to come off the ropes with a tornado DDT but was caught and turned into an over the shoulder powerslam for a two count. Strong tagged in and nailed a backbreaker, then locked in a rear chinlock. Red nailed a ton of spinkicks and a dropkick off the ropes on Strong but was attacked by Elgin. Red hit a twisting move that turned into a DDT for the pin.

Red hit a pescado to the floor. Perkins and Red then did stereo twisting splashes on Martini and Strong on the other side. Red and Perkins worked over Elgin. Red nailed the Code Red on Elgin. They went back and forth with an insane series of moves and near falls until Strong shot Red into the air for a backbreaker and Elgin caught him with a stiff lariat for the pin.

Really HOT match. Perkins and Red made a hell of a team. Imagine them against the Bucks or Express or Briscoes? I really thought this was the best House of Truth ever looked overall. Just an impressive match.

In between each match, the crowd is doing the Daniel Bryan "YES!" as a chant. Pretty cool way to show respect for someone who put the place on the map.

ROH TV champ Jay Lethal vs. Tommaso Ciampa (with The Embassy)

They locked up and went back and forth. Ciampa went to the outside and Jay hit a springboard dropkick off the corner, sending him to the floor. He went for a dive and took out RE Evans on the floor but Ciampa clotheslined him on the outside. Ciampa worked over Jay on the floor, sending him into the railing and beating him.

Ciampa worked over Lethal. Lethal tried to come back with a handspring elbow but was dropkicked in the face while upside down. Ciampa began picking him apart on the mat, then whipped him into the ropes and drilled him with a back elbow. Ciampa continued working Lethal over but Lethal began firing back with chops. They went back and forth with chops until Lethal drilled him with a series back into the corner. He whipped Ciampa into the opposite corner but it was reversed and Ciampa dropkicked him into the corner.

Ciampa worked over Lethal in the corner with a series of running knees but when he went for another, Lethal snapped him with a superkick. Lethal worked him over with chops and clotheslines. Lethal nailed the handspring elbow for a two count. They battled back and forth on the top and Lethal nailed Ciampa off the ropes and back into the ring. Lethal hit the flying elbow and scored a two count.

Ciampa and Lethal battled back and forth on the apron, chopping each other. Ciampa ducked one and nailed the Air Raid Crash on the apron outside with two minutes remaining. The referee began counting them out and it looked like it would end up a double countout but they returned at the 19 count with a minute remaining.

Lethal fired up on Ciampa but The Embassy got on the apron. They were all nailed by Lethal, except for Mia Yim, who's dress was grabbed and ripped by Lethal. Lethal beat the hell out of Ciampa, who started firing back as the time limit expired.

15 Minute Draw.

Lethal tried to call for five more minutes, which the crowd wanted but Ciampa attacked him and nailed the powerbomb over the knees, leaving Lethal laying. Ciampa took the TV title belt and walked out with it. When Lethal recovered and realized they stole the belt, he ran to the back.

The next event here is Sunday 6/24. We are now at intermission!

They began playing "Final Countdown", which was Bryan Danielson's theme here and the place went NUTS!

They followed that by playing Punk's old theme song, and they even ran the old lighting effects. That was pretty damn awesome. We are a long way from the Murphy Rec Center.

ROH Tag Team champions The Briscoes vs. The Young Bucks.

The Bucks attacked the Briscoes during the ring introductions but the Briscoes nailed a double clothesline. They sent Nick Jackson to the floor then hit a double Beel over the top on Matt, sending him onto his brother on the floor. The Briscoes went to the floor and worked over the challengers, sending them into the railing. All four battled around ringside with the Briscoes trashing the Bucks.

Back in the ring, Jay worked over Matt Jackson, nailing a leaping clothesline in the corner. Mark joined in the beating, slamming him into the apron. The champs began working over Matt in the corner. They drilled him with a pair of dropkicks. They slammed him and drilled him with a double shoulderblock for a two count. Nick went after Jay, who chased him around ringside. When they hit the ring, Matt grabbed Jay in a standing headscissors and Nick dropkicked him, turning the tide.

The Bucks began working over Jay but Mark hit the scene. It turned into a brawl. Matt ducked, sending Mark ove r the top. The Bucks worked him over but Mark began nailing a series of chops on Matt. Matt backdropped him. Mark landed on his feet but was superkicked by Nick, who then hit a pescado to the floor on Jay.

The Briscoes worked over Mark in their corner. Mark fought his way out and drilled Matt with a series of headbutts. He made the hot tag to Jay, who clotheslined him. Mark killed him with a stiff dropkick. Jay stomped the hell out of Matt. Nick tried to springboard in but was caught and slammed onto his brother. The Briscoes hit an awesome powerbomb neckbreaker combination on Matt for a two count. Nick pulled Mark to the floor and superkicked him. He then springboarded in and drilled Jay with an X-Factor. Matt rolled him up for a two count.

They hung Jay on the ropes and Nick came off the ropes with a 450 splash for a two count. The Bucks battled with Jay Briscoe. They nailed him with a pair of stereo superkicks for a two count. They set up Jay for More Bang for Your Buck but Mark sent Matt off the top to the rail. The Briscoes nailed the Doomsday Device on Nick Jackson, scoring the pin.

Kevin Steen vs. Jimmy Jacobs (with Steve Corino) - No DQ

Corino took the mic and said he was going to explain what's going to happen here. He told Steen that it's gone too far. He said Steen beat his ass all over the ring at Final Battle and he hasn't wrestled since. He asked if he believes Corino is going to let this continue, he's crazy. He said that it's time to move on. He said that he and Jacobs talked about it and this will be an unpopular decision but there's not going to be a No DQ match tonight. Steen took the mic. He told Corino that the man he knew would have punched him in the face for taking the mic, but Corino just stands there sulking.

Jacobs attacked Steen while Corino was confused. He removed his jacket to reveal the jacket he worde the night he stood under a gushing Jay Briscoe at the Chicago PPV. Corino was telling him not to do it but joined the announcers. Jacobs tossed chairs into the ring. Jacobs sat Steen in a chair in the aisle and did a running dive off the top onto Steen.

Jacobs tried to nail Steen with a chair but Steen ducked. They battled over it and Steen pulled Jacobs towards it. Steen hit a cannonball in the corner. Steen plowed Jacobs into the barricade. They brawled all over the aisle. Steen climbed atop the rail but was grabbed and slammed hard by Jacobs. Steen came back to ram Jacobs into a ringpost, then followed up with a steel chair. He pulled a piece of the barricade out and slammed Jacobs on it. Steen nailed him with another chair. They continued waging war on each other by the stage.

They brawled back to the ring, where Jacobs covered Steen for a two count. Jacobs began beating Steen's head into the chairs on the mat. He set up a table on the floor. He attempted to suplex Jacobs out of the ring onto the table but Steen blocked it and dragged him into the ring. He tried to powerbomb Jacobs outside but Jacobs escapes. He dropped down when Jacobs charged, sending him over the top to the floor. He then powerbombed Jacobs on the apron and did it again on a second side of the ring.

Steen gets in Corino's face and returns to Jacobs. He tries to powerbomb him off the apron onto the table but Jacobs landed on his feet. They battled on the apron. Jacobs speared Steen through the ropes through the table. Back in the ring, Jacobs went for a Contra Code off the ropes onto some chairs but Steen caught him and sent him into the chairs for a two count. Steen ascended to the top rope. Steen nailed a swanton but Jacobs gets his knee up.

Jacobs pulled out the spike he used duiring the Age of the Fall He charged and missed stabbing the turnbuckle. Steen nailed the F5 but was too tired to make the cover. He finally went for it, but changed his mind and set up a chair in the middle of the ring. He then set up another as Corino stood up, shaking his head. He sets the chairs back to back and goes for an F5 onto the chairs. Jacobs fought out, grabbed the spike and stabbed Steen, who was busted open. Jacobs began staring at the spike, then dropped it, shocked at what he did.

Steen grabbed the spike and spiked him in the crotch, then nailed the F5 onto the chairs. He covered Jacobs for the pin.

ROH champ Davey Richards & Kyle O'Reilly vs. Eddie Edwards & Adam Cole

Cole and Kyle started off but before they could lock up, Richards tagged himself in. Richards backed him into the corner and there was a clean break. Richards brought hm down to the mat, working over his arm. They went back and forth with some nice reversals, until Cole dropkicked Richards. Richards shoulderblocked him down, but was caught in a sunset flip. They went into a series of reversals leading to Cole going for a kick but Richards evaded. They faced off.

They tagged out to their partners. They went into a knucklelock test of strength and began headbutting each other. Edwards took him down to the mat for a near fall. They went back and forth until Kyle caught him with an armbar. Edwards turned that into a leg submission and they finally faced off. Cole tagged in as did Richards.

Richards began tagging Cole with a series of kicks to the chest. They went back and forth until Richards nailed a dropkick as Cole was rebounding off the ropes. Kyle tagged in and he drilled Cole, who came back with a series of shoulderblocks. Kyle cut him off with a back suplex and tagged Richards. He cinched in an Indian Death Lock. Edwards and Richards tagged in and they went back and forth. Richards drilled Edwards with a running forearm, then hit a dive to the outside on Cole. Edwards nailed a back suplex off the ropes but Eddie fought out of it. He and Kyle went back and forth, killing each other with disgustingly stiff chops.

Kyle began throwing some stuff kicks. Edwards chopped him in the neck and went for another but Kyle blocked and hit a sick back suplex for a two count. Cole tagged in and tried to roll up Kyle, who shoved him off. Cole nailed a leg lariat fora two count. Cole caught Kyle on the ropes and slammed him for a two count. They battled back and forth with forearms. Cole was caught with a leaping knee and Richards leapt into the ring and drilled him with a kick for a two count.

Richards locked in the Texas Cloverleaf. Edwards was trying to interfere so Kyle warded him off and assisted in the submission. Kyle began doing a series of rolling butterfly suplexes for a two count. Cole fired back against Richards and Kyle. Richards went for an enziguiri but Cole ducked and Kyle was nailed. Cole maneuvered Kyle into DDTing Davey. Edwards tagged in and nailed a leaping missile dropkick on both. He worked over Davey with a brainbuster for a two count.

They battled back and forth. Edwards backdropped his own partner over the top on Davey and Kyle on the floor. Edwards and Richards returned to the ring. Richards went to the top but was kicked by Edwards and superplexed off. Cole hit a top rope splash and Edwards covered him for a two count. Richards fired back with several elbows to the neck but was flipped over with a suplex into a sitdown slam for another two count. Cole and Edwards went for the American Wolves finisher but Richards fought them off and rolled through with an anklelock on Cole. Edwards went to break it but Kyle attacked him and locked on a submission. It tuirned into several reversals, leading into the former Wolves locked on submissions while face to face and slapping the hell out of each other.

Cole and Kyle grabbed their opponents and nailed back suplexes, then traded vicious strikes and punches. Cole then hit a nasty looking Cactus clothesline to the outside. Richards and Edwards began exchanging strikes and kicks, laying each other out. They made the tag to Cole and Kyle, who faced off. They charged each other with kicks, mirroring each other. They went for suplexes on Edwards and Richards but it was reversed with all four tumbling out of the ring to the floor.

All four battered men returned to the ring. Cole and Richards battling in one corner, Edwards and Kyle in the other. Richards and Eddie kept trying to one up each other with chops and kicks. They then faced off in the center of the ring, chopping and kicking each other stiffly. Richards nailed a sick clothesline that folded Edwards upside down in half. This left Kyle and Cole to battle it out with sick slaps, kicks and chops, with Cole finally getting the best of it and a near fall. Cole kicked Richards off the apron. He and Edwards used a lungblower into a backstabber for another two count on Kyle.

Kyle fought back with kicks on both his opponents but was nailed off the top with a sitdown F5 off the top. Cole covered Kyle but Richards dove in to break up the pinfall. Edwards whipped Cole into Kyle who kicked him off, then sent Edwards to the floor. Kyle nailed the leaping knee off the apron on Eddie. Richards nailed a double stomp on Cole, who kicked out. Cole was drilled with several kicks until a punt to the face and a back suplex but kicked out again.

Richards slapped him but Cole kicked him. Kyle nailed a brainbuster on him as Richards kicked him. Edwards broke it up and nailed a top rope stomp on Richards. Cole superkicked Richards in mid-air. They nailed the Wolves old finish on Richards for another two count. Edwards and Richards battled on the top rope. Richards fought him off but Edwards nailed a running knee and hit a top rope rana into the ring. Edwards powerbombed Richards onto Cole's knees but it went wrong. The crowd knew it too. Kyle hit the scene for the save and slapped them but both Cole and Eddie hit a double big boot to the face. Edwards went for a powerbomb, but saw Cole hit a tornado DDT onto Kyle off the apron to the floor.

Richards small packaged him for a two count. They went into a series of reversals. Edwards went for the codebreaker off the second rope but Richards turned it into a anklelock. Cole tagged in and nailed a bodypress off the ropes and pinned Richards, shocking the crowd.

Really great match with a shocking finish that brought Cole up to the next level.

Richards took the mic and started to speak but stopped. He then congratulated Cole on getting the win. They shook hands and faced off. Kyle refused and said he doesn't shake hands with anyone he doesn't respect. Richards got mad. Kevin Steen showed up in the balcony and said he doesn't respect any of them and he wasn't going to let the Anniversary show end with a "Davey Richards b**chfest." He said he wishes he had a Colt 45 to shoot Richards and said "Young Wolves Rising" was the worst name he ever heard. He said the show should have been titled Kevin Steen steals the show. He said that the future is ugly and it's him. He said it should have been Richards vs. Kevin Steen for the title. He said that some people think it's not happening because Davey is scared. He said that the truth is Cornette is afraid. He said Davey is the one person that can change Cornette's mind. He said that until Davey gets Cornette to change his mind, Steen is going to haunt him until he makes it happen. He said that Davey is a jiu-jitsu jackoff and "that's trending worldwide."

ROH has finally started getting interesting again after 6 poor months IMO. The weekly TV show's have also improved in the last couple of weeks, the blind destiny qualifiers were all decent matches and its about damm time that Kevin Steen got on the show!
I'm actually looking forward to seeing "Showdown in The Sun" which is on for 2 days during the WrestleMania weekend which some good matches being announced. Lance Storm is going facing off against Mike Bennett, and Fire Ant is also coming from Chikara to face TJ Perkins which could be an excellent match. So if any of you know any of you guys could point me into the right direction to watch both days once they have finished that would be awesome!

What do you guys thing of Chikara? I want to try and see as much as I can because from the quick highlights I've seen they seem to put on one heck of a show and with them about to be invading ROH with their joint PPV in late April I'd like to be clued up as much as possible leading into that.

The Kevin Steen & El Generico match was just how i expected i don't think they'll ever settle their differences and will probably continue on at ROH & PWG. Some amazing spots i havn't seen much like that in WWE for years

Now Jimmy turning, he really needs to start appearing on the weekly show soon. They could really build up a fantastic match by June at Death Before Dishonor they could keep Steen away still chasing after the ROH world title. Either way they really need to re-sign El Generico back up

King of Trios Finals: Spectral Envoy def. Team Ring of Honor when Hallowicked made Bennett tap out to the Chikara Special to win the 2012 King of Trios. This is the first honor Ultramantis Black has won in his Chikara career. The Batiri, Ophidian, and Delirious tried to interfere but Crossbones helped keep them at bay.

Main Event time. Defending ROH Champion Kevin Steen against hometown boy Jay Lethal. For as many Steen shirts I saw throughout the night, Jay Lethal had the crowd 85-15 in favor of him. This match was incredible and got a ton of time. Crowd was alive for the whole match which is expected. Lethal hit the Lethal Injection on Steen, but Steen kicked out and then would later hit the Lethal Injection, but Steen rolled out of the ring. This is where it all went wrong. After Steen rolls out of the ring, he goes into one of the corner barricades where Jay Lethal's parents are sitting. He starts talking a bit of trash and then Lethal's mom throws her soda in his face. Steen spits on her and that's when Lethal went chaotic. Jay starts pounding on Steen as Cornette (who was at ringside for this match), Corino & Jacobs, ring crew, and others start to break things up. Of course there were pull-away, someone escapes and attacks the other moments. Steen goes up the ramp and starts tearing down the curtain and then exits with the rest of Scum. Lethal throws one of the ring crew guys and referees, chairs; he just goes ballistic. He yells at Cornette (couldn't make out what he was saying) and then escorts his parents out of the building. He comes back to ringside and nothing's happening. EXTREMELY loud "Bulls***" chants as Lethal proceeds up the ramp. No one knows what's going on until Bobby Cruise goes on the microphone and announces that the match is ruled a No Contest, apologizes for the language exchanged by Steen and Lethal, and reminds the fans that tickets are on sale for Final Battle in New York City.

That's when the crowd starts rebelling. More "Bulls***" chants and a ton of bottles and trash start getting thrown into the ring. People start chanting "REFUND! REFUND!" as Cornette and company exit. I saw a few people trying to throw chairs into the ringside area as well. I overheard fans saying "F this company", "I'm done" as well as other expletive filled rants. NO ONE was happy with this ending and honestly, I was too. How does Ring of Honor think that having a No Contest result with the hometown boy in the World Title match will be good business? Everyone left with a negative attitude and ROH's "build" to a possible Steen/Lethal rematch at Final Battle has completely backfired

Hunter "Delirious" Johnson has taken over as the head of Ring of Honor's creative direction effective immediately. The ROH locker room was informed on Saturday at the promotion's Rahway, NJ debut.

Jim Cornette and ROH came to a mutual decision on the change I am told. Cornette will remain with the company in a backstage role and will assist Johnson as well as working on production and logistics.

Cornette will be written out of ROH storylines with an angle where he was attacked backstage by an irate Jay Lethal in the fallout of the no contest with Kevin Steen in Rahway. ROH will be running stories on their website to explain the changes with Cornette's exit from his authority figure role.
