Both teams looked good, but the Pirates defence was some of the best I've seen at any level. They scored right after half-time and Blues were playing a bit frantically in an effort to catch up, but they still looked good with ball in hand. Sheekey at 8 was good, as was Andrews at hooker! Blues Prem select should be doing better in this competition given their team. That's 3 losses from 3 now right?

Probably.
They'll get better given time I spose.

Not an acceptable return for this team (same can be said for Scarlets), but I do get the impression that these guys can get better.

The comments during this game were amusing with regards to the name of the team dressed in red, white and very dark blue;
To the Chief they were mostly Cardiff Blues A, to Andy Moore it was mostly Blues select, to the S Pedwar eck woman it was premier select in English and Gleision something something in Welsh and to Gavin Cattle, the Cornish Pirates coach it was just Cardiff.
Mightily confusing to those watching on the tv no doubt.
