Anime series

I was wondering if any of you watch any continuing anime series, I have gotten back into watching some over the past year like Tokyo Ghoul, Attack on Titan, Dragonball/Z/Super, Fairytail, Sword Art Online just to name a few

I watched some Hentai once. Didn't like it.

I cant even watch the Octonaughts after watching that

Attack on titan, RWBY are 2 I have watched recently. But quite a few normally esp the Marvel anime.

The Marvel ones are quite weak compared to the DC ones I feel

Agree, Flashpoint Paradox and Under the Red Hood are 2 of the best superhero animated films...

Flashpoint was brilliant (especially for an Aquaman fan) and by far the best one DC have produced with the 2 Dark knight ones as close 2nd and 3rd

Enjoy the Dark Knight returns great film (really looking forward to the animated Killing Joke too) Tthe best marvel ones are probably Planet Hulk and Hulk vs Thor (though I am a bit of a hulk fanboy so go figure)

Planet Hulk was a good watch, I was really hoping they would follow it up with World War Hulk

I dont think they could have released it with MCU coming into play as it plays havoc with the image of some of the key players.

I was hoping so too though.

It would tie it up though which would have been nice and better than the Ironman and Punisher/Black Widow one they released

I'm a massive anime nerd. Tokyo Ghoul is ok but it's been getting a lot of hate because it's differed from the manga and some censoring issues. Attack on titan is great imo. Nice pacing and the titans look cool. Dragonball Super is a kind of reboot of the DB film Battle of God's which was released last year or 2013. Exact same plot but just slower pacing. I have never watched Fairytale before. SAO is great. First season is ok but second season is when Poopie gets real. An anime I would recommend is "Arslan". Last episode aired last week and I'd give it a 10/10.

I really enjoyed Tokyo Ghoul, I have never read the manga so I didn't know if there were differences, the fight between the Ghouls and police was insane. I am a big Dragonball fan and knew going into Super that it was pretty much the same as Battle of the Gods but I loved it none the less. Fairytail is brilliant, bit silly in parts but loads of magic and action what more could you want. SOA was good but the second half of season one kind of ruined it for me, I have still to watch season two. You should check out Psycho Pass, I really enjoyed the first season, it's kinda like Minority Report and Bladerunner mashed together

I've watched both seasons of Psycho Pass. The first season was brilliant with an awesome bad guy in Makishima. The concept is great aswell. I would have liked to see the main male character from season 1 come back in season 2 but it was still a decent season. It was let down by only being 11 episodes long and a rushed plot. They released a feature length follow up film of Psycho Pass a couple of months ago but I haven't watched it yet but it's gotten good reviews.

Yeah not a lot of anime focus on the mental and psychological aspect. And the Sibyl System is really crazy. Imagine being judged a latent criminal when your just 5 years old. But the way in which the Dominator kills you is gruesome. Your whole body explodes! It's scary because in real life the Sibyl System might really exist in the future. Not the whole brain control thing but the way in which to judge a criminal before they are in fact a criminal.

The hammer scene in season 1 made me sit back and just say what the f**k and all the people just standing there not knowing what to do is what would probably happen now as people are too afraid to get involved, the show does bring up a lot of social issues and I like it for that

I tend not to watch any of the mainstream ones like One Piece and Naruto as they tend to go into filler episodes and the pacing is slow as Frak. A 12 or 24 episode series is ok with me. Nanatsu no taizai was a great action series this year.

I watched a few episodes of One Piece but didn't really like it and I have always meant to watch Naruto but haven't bothered yet. I think i'll start Full Metal Alchemist next

Watch the Brotherhood version of FMA. It's about 60 episodes. I'm still on episode 50 but haven't had time to finish watching it. It's in my top 5 anime of all time list.

Is the Brotherhood version like the Z Kai version of Dragonball, just a shortened down adaption of the original?

Brotherhood follows the the manga while the other one deviates from it from a certain point. I would recommend Brotherhood as it has more action, characters and humor if you only plan on watching one of the versions. The art style and animation is better on BH aswell.

Absolutely weird and typically anime but very good. There are 2 versions on youtube. 1 is the original adaptation of the Beserk book which is like 25 episodes long and the other version is a 3 parter but covers everything in the original but in HQ.

i have seen all and liked it very much. Its a cross between Conan the Barbarian and Robin hood kid you not but engrossing and ridiculeless just take a look its f**k me different.

GUTS!!! I like Beserk. The psychological meltdown of Griffiths is well done. Although I do prefer the episode version to the feature length films though. The violence is great. Awesome action and a great plot.

I only really watch One Piece. Loved Dragon Ball, but I haven't watched it much recently, outside of Resurrection F.

Any news from you on a sequel to Beserk.

I would very much like to see Guts wrap his sword around Griffiths demon a$$.

The ending to Beserk is 1 of the maddest endings I have ever seen in anime but expertly done imo.

A sequel looks very unlikely tbh There still is a lot of material to cover from the manga so all is not lost in the future. The ending was awesome.

I have started to watch Beserk, it is alright so far, action scenes are great and the story is ticking along nicely

Watched DBZ, Battle of the Gods this morning. Thought it was a pretty decent film. Not the absolute best, but Vegeta's character development is one of AT's best achievements.

I haven't watched it all yet, I have gotten back into Fairy Tail lately and have been binge watching that

I'm currently watching some sports anime. Ace Of Diamonds which is about baseball and Haikyuu which is about volleyball. Bloody brilliant so far!

I heard there is a great one about Boxing as well

Berserk being released today. The wait is over!

The CGI was very bad on the first episode. Don't get me started on the VA for Guts! Not a good adaptation so far.

I was gonna watch this last night but decided against it, is it that bad?

Well its 2 episodes in so far and it's been nothing but filler imo. They haven't shown any of the badass Apostles and not even Griffiths. And there's a bit of a continuity issue from the start of episode 2 as it is very different and much better in the manga. They missed out a whole fight with an Apostle!

Are you watching it on CrunchyRoll? I have it on my XBone, just a pity Funimation haven't got an app on it as well because I'd love to have that as well just for the DB Super episodes

I used to watch it on there but haven't renewed my account in about a year. I just watch it on soulanime or kissanime these days.

Episode 3 redeemed itself somewhat. Still a lot of cut content though.
