This no-arms low tackle thing seems to be a bugbear. 95% of games it happens and nobody cares. I think this is harsh refereeing on the Scarlets.

Finally an offside penalty, 10th time lucky.

I'm afraid the fans in the stadium are wrong it was not the ref cheating but a 2nd no arm tackle. Still luckily for Scarlets we have no proper frontline kicker
Re: Scarlets v Ulster 12th September 2015 15:00 Parc y Scarlets
Some Scarlets fans showing their classy side with the ref again; bad decision, harsh refereeing, calling a referee a cheat- still not ok.

Dan Lydiate is going to be feeling nervous if these tackles are being so heavily scrutinised...

It's clearer why that was penalised than the first one, Jake Ball was binned for a similar offence against Ulster last season.

That depends if he uses his arms or not lol

Ulster don't seem to be at the races. Too many players look a little off colour.

Believe me Rory, I've seen plenty of Ulster and Irish fans showing disrespect to the referee over the years. If anyone tries to tell you its one set of fans thats bad and one that isn't you should call them out on it. This is classless behaviour regardless of whose fans it is, so it's not a dig at Scarlets and it's not an attempt to tar those who aren't involved either- If people want to twist it into something it isn't, I won't engage. As rugby fans we should police on our side even more than we denounce others!

Interestingly though it is the Welsh TMO who is making the decisions for the ref...i.e he gives the decision to the Ref. So not sure what the issue is. Player breaks the rules its a penalty...

Ulster are just off the boil there is no leadership or direction on the field and the breakdown play is poor. We are really missing a controlling 9 or 10 out there

I think we are lucky to have Stuart McCloskey on the field, we wouldn't look half as dangerous otherwise.

Yeah Marshall was good last week and now we see what happens when he isn't and we don't have a specialist 10.

There's just two mindless penalties in a row from Browne. Which just makes it very, very easy.

This is just shocking from Ulster, giving Scarlets plenty of help here and they don't need it

3 needless mistakes turn a lineout in Scarlets territory into a try. Just woeful

Well he's not exactly a UN peacekeeper Big Nick lol We have been completely stupid so far, Nick could be considered a little lucky there
Re: Scarlets v Ulster 12th September 2015 15:00 Parc y Scarlets
It''s simply a dreadful spectacle of rugby due to Ulster''s input and some pedantic schoolboy refereeing. The Scarlets are the only group of people doing their job and unless there''s a turnaround are very much well worth the win. This is more like Doak''s Ulster unfortunately.

Yeyy a try well thats about time but if we pull something out here then we really would be stealing a win. No time off there during the TMO by the way

Interestingly there was no time off when Scarlets were bringing on a prop after the card in the first half, even though the referee called for it.

It wouldn't be the first time a broadcaster is out of sync with the game clock

There's absolutely no benefit to carrying the ball in one hand there, poor fundamentals.

Too get a bonus point out of this would be a let off. We're still in with a chance of winning, bizarre.

Has Luke Marshall held on to a single ball today? I count 4 unforced fumbles from him.

I've been surprised that the Scarlets have been so poor since their try- we've obviously been abysmal- game has petered out unfortunately.

No advantage from the lineout there? This has to be one of the worst matches in recent memory.

We give away a penalty under the posts to lose the LBP. Fittingly caps off a terrible performance.

Well you have to say the better team won, although there were times in that second half where it seemed to be about who could press the self-destruct button faster. Damage was done in a very one-sided first half and when the Scarlets started to lose their discipline and make poor decisions, we didn't reduce our error count to capitalise on it and make up the lost ground.

Can't believe we even got that many points today. Well played Scarlets we were shocking
Re: Scarlets v Ulster 12th September 2015 15:00 Parc y Scarlets
Well played, scarlets. Fully deserved, and no complaints.
Great start to the season for you.
Ulster were pathetic. Lack of will to win and error count was unacceptable.

Re: Scarlets v Ulster 12th September 2015 15:00 Parc y Scarlets
Scarlets really need to improve on discipline, almost threw that away by giving away penalties. Looks like we're going for a record collection of yellow cards lately. We can complain about it as much as we want but if the players don't stick to the laws and reduce penalty counts we won't be getting the results like we have the last two games. We're 2 from 2 but it could easily be 0 from 2.
Over the moon with the result and the first half performance by and large but Ulster were poor today, loads of errors but were still in it at the end due to our indiscipline. Doubt we'll get let off again.

The usual suspects hurt Ulster today, lack of discipline, execution and leadership
Was surprised at Scholes try, he showed strength to hold of the tacklers and get the ball down and was unlucky when he knocked on thought it should have been a knock on advantage to Ulster

That's simply inexcusable from Ulster, it was a defeat entirely of their own making. Headless, brainless, rudderless and unfortunately the Doak bit comes without a less. Last week may well have been the blip of decency amidst Doaky mediocracy.

Its got to be a record 6 yellows in only two games. Very poor. And once you start getting a rep it can be hard to shake off. Shocking to think few years back we win the fair play league.
