Liam Smith's opponent for his WBO light middlewight title shot from Michel Soro because of management issues to John Thompson who apparently is rated number 5 by the WBO. Apparently he won the 2015 boxcino tournement.
A world title fight really??

I don't know much about him as a fighter, but I enjoyed his work in the Fast Show. If he can bring that kind of form over to his boxing career he could be a danger.

Boxrec is about as much use for rankings as using a paper towel to dry yourself with after a bath. To be honest only time I've used it is when the prediction comp is on and I haven't heard of some guys in a four round fight. To be fair Warren will probably have them headlining for a world title fight soon enough.

There is an article about the fight on Boxing News 24. They really rate him, although some of those write ups on the site are shockingly biased.
