Inbee Park won the Ricoh Women's British Open by three shots while the Fantasy League went to a playoff.  Third round leader Eyetoldyouso was caught by RedRage and TheCleaver.  All three picked Park, two picked Lydia Ko and TheCleaver was knocked out of the playoff.  RedRage had Melissa Reid while Eyetoldyouso had Amy Boulden.  RedRage also had Lexi Thompson while Eyetoldyouso was out of points scoring finishers.  Congratulations to RedRage who won at the fourth extra hole.

Super_Realist had the most points scorers with five of his six picks finishing inside the top 20.  A whole host of Fantasy Leaguers had four picks score points; 1GrumpyGolfer, Bluecoverman, Davie, EmmDee57, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, McLaren, Pedro, RedRage, and TheCleaver were among them.  Pedro's achievement was especially impressive seeing as he only had four picks left.  Eyetoldyouso, Owen10ozzy, Sand, SetupDetermines, and SirBenson all had three picks score.  AlciG had just the two picks score points.

Inbee Park shot 65 to share the low score of the day with Nanna Koerstz Madsen also shot 65.  Alison Walshe had the worst round of the day with an 82.  Carly Booth, Su-Hyun Oh, and Nina Holleder finished tied for last place; Booth was picked by EmmDee57, RedRage, and SetupDetermines.

Luna Sobron wrapped up the race for low amateur on Friday as she was the only amateur to make the cut.  She even finished inside the top fifteen and was under par for the tournament.  AlciG, BlueCoverman, Davie, EmmDee57, I'm Never Wrong, SirBenson, and TheCleaver all get the bonus points.

Mo Martin is the defending champion having won the Women's Open title by making eagle on the last hole and being the only player to finish unnder par.  She will attempt to become only the fourth woman to defend the title; Yani Tseng was the most recent, Sherri Steinhauer was the second player, and Debbie Massey was the first.  Steinhauer is one of two to have won the title three times, Karrie Webb was the first to win three titles.

Five players are missing from the top 50 in an otherwise strong field as 75 of the top 100 are in attendance.  The lowest ranked player is at 605 and that was Charlotte Ellis who came through qualifying in style.  The are four unranked players who are all amateurs.

There are six amateurs in the field, identified by (Am) after their name, so we will have a separate pick for Low Amateur. The Low Amateur pick does not have to be one of your Cat C picks unless you so desire.  20 points will be on offer for correctly picking the Low Amateur after four rounds; if no amateurs make the cut then no points will be awarded.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Pick 1 amateur identified by (am) after their name.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Grumps,
I thought the tie break was: who scores the most on the last day,
hence I thought "The Cleaver" would be the winner ?? Rolling Eyes

Setup, been this way for a long time:

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

It might be that typically those who score higher on the final day win the playoff because of a higher number of high finishes. In this instance TheCleaver's finish points were also supplemented by Low Amateur points which wouldn't have counted in this reckoning.
