Noticed this tweet by the the tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg. I believe it was made during the 4th and final set of the men's final.

Unless something dramatically changes: women's final > men's final. #wimbledon

I have to say I agree. But my personal favorite final this year at Wimbledon was the Women's doubles. It was like a breath of fresh air compared to some of the cheap service points and high risk hit or miss hitting in some of the men's matches. I also enjoyed the mixed doubles final for the same reason. I managed to catch all the finals apart from the men's doubles. What was your favorite Wimbledon final?

I preferred the women's doubles as well - it was closer throughout and I was cheering for Hingis to win, for some reason.

The men's final sort of fizzled out the last set and a half - it never felt like Fed would come back, whereas in the women's final it fizzled back in again and an upset was pretty close.

Edit - and then I voted for the mixed. Can't get my buttons right.

The tennis on display in the men's final was a step above the women's, and often is.  Issue with finals is your memory of them is often skewed by who you wanted to win doing so it not. I imagine the fed heads won't see this one fondly, despite him and his opponent playing pretty well if not the best

Neither if I am honest.

I tend to find the better matches always occur in the early rounds.
