Boxnation To Air Triple Header

BoxNation will air the much anticipated toe-to-toe war between two of the biggest bangers in boxing, live and exclusive, when Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov headline a stunning triple-fight card on April 18th.

The clash, which is already being billed as a 'Fight of the Year' candidate, is guaranteed to have fans on the edge of their seats when the light-welterweight knockout kings go at it in a battle which has the makings of a modern day classic.

April 18th will undoubtedly be a night to remember on BoxNation with live and exclusive coverage of two further amazing fight cards with Liverpool's Derry Mathews in his first world title fight against the slick Richard Abril, before last year's 'Fighter of the Year' Terence Crawford challenges Thomas Dulorme for the vacant WBO light-welterweight world title.

Furthermore, from across the pond, BoxNation will give subscribers another glimpse of a man tipped to become one of the very best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, when Ricky Burns' conqueror Crawford looks to become a two-weight world champion.

The unbeaten Omaha, Nebraska native, who has grown a large and loyal following in his hometown, will be up against the dangerous and skilful Cuban Dulorme who will be looking to fulfil his enormous potential.

I like Liam, can see him dealing with Jones without too much fuss. Rose made him look world class. Want to see Smith face Liam Williams, a proper 50/50 fight.

Never met the kid Truss, I wondered why a lad who is working his way up the rankings is a tragedy. Not like he's being handed a shot for beating 30 bums is it.

I really like Provodnikov in this fight (currently pick 'em with oddsmakers).

I reckon Lucas is capable of performance similar to the one Froch put on vs Abraham. However I doubt he'll do that and believe Lucas wins the war everyone predicts.

Ruslan has a lot more quality straight shots to get through before he can put hands on Matthysse. He's never faced a puncher of that caliber and Bradley did hurt him. Not a hugely confident pick but expect Ruslan to take too much getting in and get gradually ground down.

Have said it from the start that I expect Matthyse to destroy Provodnikov; he's quicker, stronger, a cleaner more precise puncher, is tougher, hits a lot harder and keep up a higher tempo for three minutes a round.

Can't agree that Lucas is stronger. Although I probably make him favourite to win.

As a Matthysse fan though, I find your confidence reassuring.

Monsterous fight both men will be sore in the morning.

Fancy Matthysse, but Provodnikov can whack a bit himelf and you get the feeling Matthysse may just becoming more brittle as time goes on. Decked by Garcia, looked more like he wasn't willing to take the punches anymore with the way he went down in that fight for a split second. Then twice Molina cracked him and had him buzzed and backing up.

To be fair, against Garcia he'd just had his head pushed down then got a bit tangled in the ropes in the late rounds of a grueling fight he was losing, so I don't see it as too much of a worry he went down.

I'm not sure, to me JBW it looked as though he was a little unwilling to take the punches and kinda of almost took a knee, (Or bum... That... Sounds wrong) he didn't seem willing to take whatever was coming next as he was totally out of position.
